Interaction Wall-EHow could we not pay homage to our newest and favest bot? Wall-E debuted today and although we couldn’t make the premiere, we did notice that there are already a truckload of toys and other tie-ins, like this Interaction Wall-E. The little guy’s eyes light up, he moves his head and arms, and has the original movie voice and sound effects. If that isn’t enough, when you talk to him, he responds and, if you are too busy, can communicate with Interaction Eve. At a size of 6.5 x 10.5 x 8.5-inches and a weight of 2.1 pounds, we found one on Amazon for $43.99.

Disney Offers Sneak Peek of Wall-E

Wall-E extended clip aired on Disney channel

Disney’s latest adorable character Wall E appeared to have jumped from the streets of Los Angeles to your television screen last Saturday night.

Studio execs leaked a four-minute clip from the movie and appropriately aired it after Finding Nemo on the Disney channel. The clip, which you can check out after the jump, is so cute! I couldn’t stop aww-ing over Wall-E, wanting to just give him a big hug.

The film opens June 27 and stars Fred Willard, Jeff Garlin, Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger, Kathy Najimy and Ben Burtt.

Real Wall-E appears in Los Angeles

‘s is set to hit theaters in just a little over a month, so you just know that the hype is set to ramp up leading up to the opening, right? Leave it up to Pixar to take a rusty, old, childish robot and make it so cute that we immediately buy into it and start posting videos of its appearance around town. I mean, just watching the video above, don’t you just feel like you have to adopt the little guy and take him home? I’m betting this will be my favorite Pixar movie since Monsters Inc. How about you? You anticipating this one?

WALL-E Toys Ready for Movie Premiere

WALL-E

Although the movie won’t be out until June 27, Disney is already promoting it with two toys. The Ultimate WALL-E has 10 motors, a programmable remote with touch programming, and sensors to detect obstacles and sound direction. It is also MP3 compatible with built-in speakers, USB cables, and rechargeable batteries (included.) The robot will be at ToysRUs and Disney Shopping this fall for $189.99.

The iDance WALL-E, with animated eyes, talks and dances. The audio in-jack makes it compatible with iPods or MP3 players. Sound activated, it will be at various retailers this summer for $24.99.

Remake News: Short Circuit

short circuitWall-E

The minute I saw the trailer for Wall•E, I knew it was just a matter of time before someone toyed with the idea of revamping Short Circuit.  (‘s recent stint on Dancing with the Stars only strengthened my theory.)  Now that bad idea is finally coming true: Johnny 5 will once again be coming alive.

Dimension Films has just announced that it has purchased the rights to remake the cheesy ‘80s film.  The movie, which starred Ally Sheedy and Guttenberg, featured a military-built robot that eventually adapts human qualities.  Families will supposedly crave more robot fare after this summer’s release, which is why Bob Weinstein has greenlighted the update.

S.S. Wilson and Brent Maddock, the same two behind the 1986 film and its sequel, will also be charged with writing the modern-day version.  In the meantime, look for Wall•E to hit theaters on June 27.

WALL-E GameCube case mod is awesome

WALL-E Gamecube mod

Allow us to introduce you to what just might be the cutest case mod we’ve ever seen - a GameCube made to look like WALL-E. We are sure this was no easy feat, what with the usage of acrylic paint, metal, plastic, and even plexiglass. If you haven’t heard, WALL-E is the star of the next film, WALL-E. Yeah, we know. Anyhow, the little robot was cute enough in the movie’s trailer - even more so in GameCube form. We knew ‘s little-box-that-could still had some sort of value left in it.
