Super Modern Mario Bros.

Check out the video below for Super Modern Mario Bros. It's a novel concept dreamed up by a gamer, removing a lot of the cutesy Mario-ness, dialing up the level of seriousness by removing the music and adding realistic sound effects. It’s a bit more violent, too, with Goombas exploding and Mario crashing to his untimely demise when he leaps towards the end-of-level flag and fails to successfully grab hold and slide down. Look, just watch it--it's way more fun than reading our description!

Robert Pattinson Blasts Film Age Restrictions

Robert PattinsonRobert Pattinson has blasted film age restrictions as "crazy."

The Twilight Saga heartthrob claims adult movies shouldn't be subject to strict restrictions since most teenagers already have access to pornography on the internet, and thinks violence is more damaging than sex.

The 26 year old actor - who currently stars as a billionaire embarking upon a violence-ridden 24 hour journey across Manhattan in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis - told The Sun, "You're immediately in the highest rating with things to do with sex. But you can have violence. It's like, 'What?!' It's completely crazy. I don't think there's anything in Cosmopolis that's particularly... there's nothing bad. I don't think there's anything that would have shocked me when I was 13. Especially when every single kid nowadays probably watches hardcore pornography on the internet. It's no worse - in fact, it's a lot better."

Robert has a wild threesome in the film and shoots himself in the hand but he insists it's not as violent as people make out: "I'm not worried about the violence or the sex or anything like that. Transformers is more violent than Cosmopolis."

Man dresses as Mr. Magoo, shoots unmanned squad car five times (video!)

Posted by Andrey Malskiy Categories: Internet, Transportation, Videos,

Now we’re not fans of speed traps, nor do we like getting trolled by unmanned squad cars, but when and if the time comes, we cut our losses and take the ticket. The thing is, not everyone will have the same reaction.

Recently, a man down in the Santa Fe area wasn’t too happy about the empty vehicle keeping tabs on him. Dressed as Mr. Magoo (we aren’t sure if this is intentional or not,) he decided to take his revenge out on the unmanned vehicle by shooting five rounds into it. Luckily, the Redflex-operated squad car didn’t suffer much damage, nor did the onboard camera! Check out the video above as Mr. Magoo goes on a rampage.

Oksana Grigorieva Turned Down Mel Gibson’s $15 Million

Oksana with her daughterOksana Grigorieva turned down a $15 million settlement offer from ex-lover because he wanted shared custody of their daughter.

The Russian singer - who is currently involved in a bitter custody battle with Mel for their 11-month-old daughter Lucia - refused the huge financial offer because she didn’t want the “unstable” actor getting so much access to their child.

“The $15 million was a proposal that I walked away from because he wanted 50 per cent custody of an infant when he’s unstable.”

Oksana also claims Mel punched her in the head while she was holding Lucia, during an argument on January 6. “Mel ran in and started screaming all kinds of nasty words.  Then he just hit me twice with his fist. Boom, boom, to my head and my mouth. I fell on top of the bed. I’m just covering the baby and not protecting myself. He proceeds to choke me with both his hands,” she said in an interview with People magazine.

The 40-year-old beauty alleges the 54-year-old actor used a mixture of threats and pleading to convince her not to leave him after the incident:

Spain Slaps Saw VI with X Rating

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Horror, Sequels, Distribution,

Saw VIWell, they don’t call it torture porn for nothing.

Although previous installments of Saw have done well in Spain, the franchise’s sixth installment will be facing a large hurdle. The Spanish Culture Ministry’s Film Institute, the country’s equivalent to the MPAA, has just given an X rating.

The label - the first one Spain’s ever stamped on a movie for violence - limits the number of theaters the film can be shown in to eight. (Buenavista had hoped to distribute 300 copies of the sequel.) Previous Saw entries were simply considered “not under 18.”

Buenavista has filed an appeal on the decision.
