Viewsonic All-in-One VPC 100

Viewsonic unveiled their all-in-one PC at the CES 2009. The VPC 100 has an 18.5-inch 16:9 LCD screen and is only 35mm thick. The system features a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and runs on an Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU. It also has a 1.3mp webcam, a DVD +/- RW drive, built-in stereo speakers and a 3-in-1 card reader. Installed with Windows XP home, the VPC 100 will be out in February with a $549.00 price.

ViewSonic’s N2201w LCD has PC monitor capabilities and a built-in DVD player. With 1080i HD and a resolution of 1680x1050, the 22-inch screen has a response time of 5ms and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Compatible with ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital TV, it has HDMI 1.3 and composite inputs. The N2201w is available for $429.00. While we like the idea of combining components, we know from experience that if you buy something that combines them, half of it will break down before the other and getting it fixed will be expensive and a pain.

CES 2007: Viewsonic Throws Hat Into 1080p Ring, Loses Hat

Viewsonic has decided to enter the fray with their 1080p 42-inch LCD. The N4261w includes dual HDMI inputs, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio and a launch date in March with a price tag of $1,799. Low-priced 1080p might seem a bit anachronistic, but we’re glad to see them coming down the pipeline sooner rather than much later. Its 46-inch bigger brother, the N4661, will launch in Q2.)
