Video: Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi at the Oscars

The 83rd Academy Awards was peppered with montages, witty jokes from the evening's hosts and presenters and more than one great musical performance. As a tribute to the five orignal songs nominated for this year's awards, each one was performed live on the huge Oscar stage.
Tangled's “I See the Light” was beautifully crooned by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. Moore wore a dark blue, feathery ball gown for the number, and still managed to sound even more beautiful than she looked. Their sensational performance, viewable in the video above, was one of the Oscar highlights for the broadcast.

Oscar Tidbits: Modern Family Commercial

ABC's Modern Family offered up another hilarious promo in what is becoming the show's Academy Award tradition. Last year, Modern Family created a commercial of an Oscar night charades party. Jennifer Lopez put production to a stop following the elimination of Chris Medina from this year’s American Idol competition. It was her fate to give him the bad news, and that’s when the downward spiral began. Fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson tried to calm her down, Jackson turning to the staff to ask for “five.”

Let’s hope this video of Oscar co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco is a preview of things to come; they’re great together. This funny clip shows some of the outtakes of the two A-listers while they were shooting promos for the awards event, which airs later this month on ABC.

No Cher Number for James Franco at Oscars, Actor Upset

James Franco is upset “for me and Cher” following the decision to cut his version of the singer’s “You Haven’t See the Last of Me” from this year’s Oscars. He released a short clip of himself singing via Twitter, and in it he himself calls his singing “a little growly.” You can hear him in the video above.
But don’t let that fool you. His co-host Anne Hathaway says the Oscar nominee “has a lovely singing voice,” though she won’t say whether or not they’ll be singing together during the show.

American Idol 10: Group Performances Redux

All 61 remaining American Idol contestants were taken from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to sing a second round of group performances on Wednesday's episode. The show gave them 24 hours to learn how to perform Beatles songs... which, frankly, they ought to know how to do anyway on general principle.
More than half of them would be sent home with broken hearts before the epside was over. At last, some of the Top 24 list has been revealed -- but did the judges make all the right decisions?

Video: Anne Hathaway, James Franco Perform Grease Duet

We’re not sure what Oscar co-host James Franco was trying to tell us with this Tweet, we’re just glad he did. Franco, a relative newcomer to Twitter, shared this short video-only clip with his 150,000 followers earlier this week, and everyone wants to know why.
In the video, he and fellow host Anne Hathaway seem to be performing the iconic final duet from Grease, which we can only hope they’re taping for the upcoming awards broadcast on Sunday, February 27.
