Thor The Dark World poster

The long-awaited trailer for Thor: The Dark World is finally here, offering a look at the main characters in the film, like Malekith (played by Christopher Eccleston.) Thor: The Dark World hits theaters on November 8, 2013.

Just as Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels “Thor” and “Marvels The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Monster DNA headphones review

Monster DNA white tuxedo headphones

Yesterday evening, Monster unveiled the newest color to its Monster DNA headphone line, White Tuxedo, at the MTV Movie Awards. Stars were seen backstage signing the headphones, a pair of which will be donated to Jewelry for a Cause, and Monster is pretty proud of its latest exclusive color. DNA is the end result of a collaboration between Monster and Viacom, so the MTV tie-in makes sense. Even if you don't find the new color to be as striking as the company does, you may be wondering how the Monster DNA headphone line performs in general. After all, there are a multitude of colors available, allowing you to express your personality, now that headphones are also a fashion piece. How do the headphones perform? Facebook 6.0 for iOS adds chat heads, stickers, and iPad News Feed redesign

Facebook App 6.0 for iOS (2)   Facebook 6.0 App for iOS

Facebook has updated its iOS app to version 6.0 and has introduced two new features that are from the Facebook Home experience: Chat heads and stickers. Basically, chat heads are avatar icons of Facebook friends. They take up a small part of the screen whenever a user is messaging another Facebook friend, no matter where the user happens to be in the app. We assume that the goal is for it to be a frictionless experience when communicating with others friends; rather than having the chat feature limited to silos or in sections within the app. Along with the update, Facebook added a sticker feature, like emoticons, while messaging, seemingly aimed at teens and adults who might never publicly admit that they like the feature. Facebook for the iPad also sees a News Feed redesign that is cleaner with a bolder, more legible typeface. Gear Live tip: users might have to delete the old version first, or reboot the iDevice, in order to activate these new features now since Facebook is slowly rolling the feature out to users. Facebook 6.0 for iOS is now available in the App Store.

Scientifically Accurate Spider-Man

Look, Peter Parker may be a wimpy nerd and not so superhero-like, but just be glad that the majority of his spider powers are internal. Scientifically-accurate Spider-Man is an alternate take on what the spiderfication of Mr. Parker could have looked like if were moer true to form. You know, stuff like extra eyes, a bunch of hair, and webbing coming out of a different orifice. Check out the video below for a hilarious look at Scientifically-accurate Spider-Man. Just put the kids to bed first.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Leak

It appears that someone has been naughty and wants to spoil the party by uploading videos of the new Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphones before the launch tonight in New York City.

The first video highlights floating touch, which I presume allows the user to manipulate the screen without making physical contact. The feature was first introduced by Sony's Xperia Sola last year. Check out all four videos after the break.

LEGO Hogwarts

If you weren't able to make it to Emerald City Comic Con, then you missed the awesome LEGO Hogwarts that was built by Alice Finch. This thing took a year to build, and then had to be taken apart and sectioned in order to be brought to ECCC. It took six minivans to transport it, and three hours to get everything back in place. That's 400,000 LEGO bricks, over 250 minifigures, and no glue. Check out the video after the jump that shows off the reconstruction, and just how how LEGO Hogwarts is.
