Wiz KhalifaWiz Khalifa was arrested for marijuana possession yesterday morning.

The 26-year-old rapper was detained at an airport in El Paso, Texas, after officers from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allegedly found a "green leafy substance" in his luggage before he boarded a flight to Dallas.

A law enforcement source told gossip website TMZ.com that the "Black And Yellow" hitmaker, who has 14-month-old son Sebastian with wife Amber Rose, was taken into custody and turned over to local police. The "We Dem Boyz" rapper shared several images online from behind bars, including a "jail selfie" in which he appeared to not be wearing any trousers.

Despite creating the hashtag "FreeTrapWiz," on Twitter and poking fun at the incident, he later hinted that he was becoming increasingly frustrated: "I wanna drop 28 Grams but they got me locced up. Soon as I get out, the tapes comin out. Fucc that... They're tryna figure out how many grams I had. How ironic [sic]."

Kristen Stewart at HootersKristen Stewart enjoyed a night at Hooters in Texas.

The Twilight Saga beauty dined at the chain restaurant - which is famous for its busty waitresses - over the weekend and although she tried to keep a low profile, Kristen, 23, was happy to pose for pictures with employees and fans.

"She was trying not to be noticed, so she sat with her back to the restaurant. When she was eating, a guy asked her if she was Kristen Stewart. She said, 'Yes.' When the guy asked her if he could take a photo, she asked if she could take it after her meal. She was really nice, she smiled and said bye before she left," a source said.

Google Fiber is coming to Austin, Texas

Google Fiber Austin TX

Google Fiber is officially coming to Austin, Texas, giving people yet another reason to want to live in the edgy city. Google has not yet revealed the rollout schedule, but don't let that fool you--they'll likely be splitting the city up into different "Fiberhoods" like what happened in Kansas City, Kansas and Missouri in order to gauge the areas of highest interest. Google Fiber offers 1 Gbps broadband Internet, television service, and phone service through a direct fiber to the home connection. This marks the thirs city that Google Fiber is making an appearance in, as Google's Eric Schmidt recently said that Fiber is a "real business"--here's hoping we see quick expansion to additional neighborhoods in the US.

Selena Gomez: I’d Have Two Kids by Now if I Stayed in Texas

Selena Gomez on 'Glamour'Singer-actress Selena Gomez has offered up what she believes her life would be like if she hadn't become a huge star and opened up about growing up with Disney.

In this month's issue of Glamour, the Spring Breakers actress claimed that she would have probably become a teen mom had she remained in Texas: "I'm terrified of what I would have become if I'd stayed there. I'm sure I'd have two children by now."

But that's not to say that she was exempt from the semblance of a high school experience:

"I grew up in one of the biggest high schools in the world, and that’s the Disney Channel. Everybody was falling in love with each other or not liking each other, and it was exhausting…and I was the shy one in the corner. And now I’m so opinionated, and I don’t have time for the cattiness. I have good people around me, and I’m glad I’m at the place I’m in. I wish I was there back then."

The Glamour issue hits newsstands on Tuesday, November 6.

Roy Crane, Wash Tubbs, Captain Easy and Buz Sawyer

Posted by Tom Mason Categories: Editorials, Interviews, Independent,

Roy CraneIt’s easy to toss around the word “genius,” especially when it comes to comics. We all have our favorites and we all like to think ours are the great ones. But one look at Roy Crane’s work and anyone can see that he definitely was worthy of the “genius” tag.

Crane created two great adventure classics, Wash Tubbs (which later became Captain Easy) and Buz Sawyer, with Wash being called the first true newspaper adventure strip. He’s been dead for 30 plus years, but looking through his strip work, you can see his influence in comics from Milton Caniff to Alex Toth to Howard Chaykin. Even the modern strip, Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson shows a Crane influence as does Randy Reynaldo’s Rob Hanes.

And in a classic Comics Journal interview, Art Spiegelman calls Crane an influence on Jack Kirby.

Continuing my series on cartooning and cartoonists, Roy Crane wrote about himself and his work back in 1964. This is pulled from an oversized saddle-stitched magazine from Allied Publications with the creatively-challenged title These Top Cartoonists Tell How They Create America’s Favorite Comics. It featured an introduction by Beetle Bailey’s Mort Walker and was compiled by Allen Willette.

Here’s Crane on Crane:

Matt StairsMatt Stairs will never retire from baseball. The 42-year old not only has yet to resort to riding out his career as an American League designated hitter, he’s also found a home in San Diego and will see time as both a first baseman and an outfielder. As a Canadian, it was hard enough for Stairs to find his way into the majors, but it seems that it’s been even harder to take him out of them.

American Idol 9: Dallas Auditions

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Prime Time, Reality, FOX, American Idol, Video,

visited frequent host city Dallas, Texas in Wednesday’s installment. Soaring skyscrapers, wide-open skies and southern charm were offered aplenty. The show’s steadies - Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson - attempted to guess who the day’s guest judge would be.

, best known for his role on How I Met Your Mother, answered the question. His goal was to make “two, three dozen people cry.” I’m on board with that. Original American Idol champ Kelly Clarkson came from the show’s first Dallas auditions. Also present at this first year was Julie Kevelighan, who returned in Season 9 for a little redemption.

Clad in an ill-fitting sparkly blue dress, Julie launched into a warbly rendition of “Black Velvet” to further prove that she’s just no Idol. Neil Patrick Harris critiqued Julie’s sign before telling her he didn’t really care for the singing. “Everything was wrong,” Simon Cowell summed it up. Julie kept right on singing as the panel groaned. Security eventually swept her right on out the door. “That’s just annoying,” the guest judge remarked.
