The Dark Knight Rises

With all the box office record breaking The Avengers is doing, Warner Bros. wanted to leak a little reminder to movie-goers that they have a blockbuster superhero film coming out, too...

Although the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises hasn't revealed too much about Anne Hathaway's Catwoman, the teaser poster above doesn't look like she'll be serving too much as an ally to Christian Bale's Batman.

The film hits theaters on July 20.

VIDEO: New True Blood Teaser

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Drama, Prime Time, Sci-Fi/Horror, HBO, Video,

With nearly just a month to go until the new season of True Blood returns, the showrunners continue to offer up even more delectable teasers on their YouTube page.

In the latest upload, Christopher Meloni of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fame is unveiled as an upcoming vampire performing some type of ritual. IMDB lists his character as Roman, but the clip seems to indicate that he's also known as the Vampyr (we all know how important he must be if he spells the word in an exotic way). The all-important vampyr combined with the robes and dungeon setting gives me a bit of the Twilight Volturi vibe.

True Blood season 5 premieres on June 10.

New Spider-Man, Batman Teaser Posters

The Amazing Spider-Man

With all the excitement building around the upcoming Iron Man sequel and The Avengers, it's easy to see why Marvel Entertainment didn't want you to forget about their lone wall-crawling superhero, offering up a new teaser poster for The Amazing Spider-Man. Warner Bros. followed suit by unveiling a new teaser poster for The Dark Knight Rises -- because DC has superheroes, too, lest you forget.

While Andrew Garfield looks promising as the new Spidey (as far as the wall posing goes, anyway), things don't look too good for Batman if the film's poster featuring Tom Hardy's Bane is intended to shed light on the plot.

Bioshock Infinite Takes the Battle to the Skies

Watching the Bioshock Infinite trailer for the first time you would think that another underwater outing is in store for the next serious installment of Bioshock. And that’s exactly the effect desired by Irrational Games. While in the midst of this underwater backdrop, the size scale is disrupted when a seemingly enormous fish encircles the perimeter, prompting a very warranted “huh?” from the viewer. Instantly the carpet is pulled from underneath the audience as the scene is revealed to be from the perspective of an unknown victim who just went face diving in a fish tank. This, courtesy of a menacing giant with a visible beating heart sporting a very Bioshock look. The antagonist then tosses our unlucky friend head first out of the window. As the glass shatters we get our first real glimpse at the setting of Bioshock Infinite - above the clouds. Ladies and gentlemen, we’re not in Kansas anymore.

“The time for silence is over,” said Ken Levine of Irrational Games, finally unsealing his lips on the game they’ve been developing for the past three years. The last Bioshock released was heralded not by the original team behind the groundbreaking Bioshock, but by several different sister companies. However, this time Irrational Games is back behind the wheel, and is striking with a vengeance. However, no word on whether or not Infinite has a connection with the first Bioshock world, and Levine is remaining mum on the subject. “I don’t want to think about that…I don’t think it’s particularly constructive to have that conversation,” said Levine in reference to the narrative connection in Infinite. He did, however, nod that the Infinite part of the title “[has] meaning”.
