VIDEO: SNL Honors March Madness

SNL opened with one of their funniest sketches of the year on Saturday. In a single skit, the show managed to pay homage to March Madness, Charlie Sheen and world current events. Our favorite part is Bill Hader -- watch the video above to see what we mean.

In related news, fans will have the opportunity to watch the real March Madness in a whole new way for this years NCAA men’s basketball tournament, which begins on Tuesday. CBS has purchased the broadcasting rights once again, but this year the network will actually show every single game. This year, games will be presented on CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV.

Conan O’Brien pokes fun at Apple’s iPad 2

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Handhelds, Videos,

On Thursday night's show, O'Brien claimed that Apple and its team of engineering wizards was "getting a little cocky". Team Coco then proceeded to spoof the iPad's desktop, thinness, "a pair of cheap cameras," and how we Americans seem to take everything said with an accent and lend it more credence than it actually deserves.

O'Brien, whose humor is perhaps more warm-hearted than his late-night rivals, completely leaves Steve Jobs or a parody of Jobs out of the fake launch video, almost certainly because of Jobs' struggle with cancer. The omission allows the humor to fall where it should: on Apple's iconic status, and how the iPad 2 might be considered a bit more like an iPad 1.5.

VIDEO: Conan O’Brien Apologizes to Jimmy Kimmel for Rudolph Sketch

Fans of both Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Kimmel might have noticed something unusual on their broadcasts recently: similar sketches.

Two weeks ago, Jimmy Kimmel Live was first to air a mashup of Sarah Palin's Alaska with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. (Watch the video after the jump.) That clip was unfortunately followed up two weeks later by a Conan sketch that closely resembed the first.

In response to the snafu, O'Brien issued an apology to the competition -- and made other revelations -- in the message above.

Conan O’Brien, Night Two: Heavy Losses Reported

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Late Night, Talk Shows, Cable, Ratings, Video,

Viewers were excited to tune into Conan O’Brien’s Monday premiere … but they weren’t as pumped on Tuesday. Conan’s cable show lost one-third of its viewers in the transition from Day 1 to Day 2.

Maybe Jon Stewart is to blame? O’Brien’s new late night talk show is competing directly with the cable king, and we don’t like his odds. Monday’s Conan scored 4.2 million viewers, compared to 2.8 million the following night. (His rival Jay Leno averages around 3.6 million for his famous network gig.)

Critics were largely unenthusiastic with the Monday premiere. One writer at the Los Angeles Times complained about O’Brien’s endless NBC jokes, a gag that’s running a little thin nine months after the Tonight Show fallout.

VIDEO: Conan O’Brien Returns to Late Night

If you weren't one of the 4.2 million people watching Conan O'Brien last night (seeing him at 11:00 is still a weird concept), you can catch a highlight from Conan's debut here.

How exactly did O'Brien wind up on basic cable -- and what would he look like as a (real) clown? Check out the video above.

Team Coco Offering Live Streaming from Conan O’Brien Offices

Although we are still over two weeks away from the official launch of ’s new TBS show, the buzz is already building. To ramp up the excitement for the late-night program, Team Coco began 24 hours of live streaming from the show’s offices at 1 p.m. EST today.

What behind-the-scenes action could we possibly see from that camera focused on the stairwell of their “comedy bunker”? If you were watching at 6:00 p.m. EST, you would have caught a dancing Taco Bell mascot (with a dancing taco). Earlier in the afternoon, you would have been treated to an aerobics session straight from the ‘80s.

kicks off on November 8.

Sister Wives-Sister Wives pulled in a record number of voyeurs for TLC on Sunday. The reality series about a polygamist family drew in the network’s largest audience (2.3 million) for a premiere in a year.

-Dexter Morgan saw killer numbers this weekend as well. The Season 5 premiere of Dexter—which also brought in 2.3 million—was Showtime’s best opener in 15 years.

-Drummer Max Weinberg will not be joining Conan O’Brien for his new late-night talk show. Guitarist and keyboard player Jimmy Vivino will take over when Conan debuts on TBS on November 8.

-Joseph Cerniglia, who appeared on a 2007 episode of Kitchen Nightmares, was found dead in the Hudson River last week. He is now the second person connected to a Gordon Ramsay show to have committed suicide. (Hell’s Kitchen contestant Rachel Brown died in 2007.)
