If you never get to sing or play lead guitar and are forced with your percussion instruments to stay in the back of the band, now you can receive all the attention with the clear-frame LED Tambourine. With 14 lights, it will keep a perfect beat, no matter what part of your body you thump it against. Made of plastic and metal, it has a 7-inch diameter, needs one 9 volt battery (not included,) and is recommended for those over the age of seven, at least physically. At a price of $19.95, you can get two and really drive the the other bandmembers bonkers.

Before this evening’s festivities begin, the producers of the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards should really thank the scandal-plagued artists who’ve unintentionally thrown publicity their way. Tonight, we’ll be thinking about those performers who’ve canceled because they need to be in rehab (Amy Winehouse) and closely watching those who should probably go back (Britney Spears).
We’d been warning you for weeks that this would be a one-time only telecast, but in case you forgot—we hope this helps. And for those who live on the West Coast (like me), you can play along and read our coverage as if it were in real-time:
