Sri Lanka To Require Cell Phone Certificate of Ownership

In an effort to thwart terrorists, Sri Lanka plans to enact legislation that requires cell phone users to carry a certificate of ownership. It also means that they cannot lend their phone to others. The TRC (Telecommunication Regulatory Authority) says that the regulations will also affect wireless CDMA handsets.
