USB Card Disk Calculator

Avid readers of this site know there’s an endless amount of nutty -related gadgets out there. But here’s one that’s actually handy, in the office or on a business trip. The QMemory USB Card Disk with Calculator is pretty self-explanatory: it’s a wallet-ready 256MB flash card—that’s also a solar-powered calculator!  It even includes security software to protect your files. No batteries, chargers or software required. Although we think 256MB is way too small in this day and age, we love it’s functionality and price of $15 USD. You can also order them in bulk, with your company’s logo.

Posted by Christopher Sasaki Categories: Hardware, Nintendo, Wii,

Wii When a gamer reported that the Wii demonstration units at the Nintendo World store were being adversely affected by sunlight, 1up talked to Nintendo to try and clarify the situation. Nintendo’s response didn’t completely address the issue, but they did state that their own testing showed “no great risk of light interference when playing a game that relies on the pointer and sensor bar.” Now, this isn’t a specific denial of the situation at Nintendo World, so gamers may be left hoping that Nintendo’s internal test cases will encompass enough of the home lighting situations that this isn’t a huge issue.

Solar Powered SCOTTeVEST Images PicturesYou know just when you get off work after a long day and you just want to listen to some music on the way home, it seems that your MP3 player is ALWAYS out of power? Or how your cellphone dies at the moment you need it the most? Well, so does SCOTTeVEST - and they want to do something about it. They have recently announced the pending arrival of the Solar SCOTTeVEST. What exactly is it? Check it out. It combines the SCOTTeVEST FineTEX coat with a solar panel which connects to a power source in one of the pockets. You can then power any device that has the capability to be charged via USB. That means when your iPod's juice starts running low, you can just plug it into your pocket while on the go and the tunes will just keep flowing. On the negative? You must be in direct sunlight for 2-3 hours for a full charge; however, direct sunlight is not a requirement. Oh, and of course being a SCOTTeVEST, this jacket is loaded with pockets. Thirty to be exact. Click below for more information and additional images.
