If you've ever wanted to take a trip to Springfield, the city where The Simpsons live, you'll have your chance beginning this summer. Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida, is set to open up the new Springfield section in just a few short weeks, giving visitors the chance to check out famous landmarks from The Simpsons, including Moe's Tavern, the Duff Brewery (with Duff beer,) Krusty Burger, Luigi's Pizza, the Kwik-E-Mart, and even The Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop. Seriously, book us on the next flight to Orlando, because this is the height of awesomeness.

For someone as perpetually lazy as Homer Simpson, he keeps finding ways to make our lives more fun, such as the Jukebox and USB hub. Now comes this USB-powered lamp, which features Homey in total Lay-Z-Boy mode, while adding LED light (and a little levity) to your desk. Available for only $17 USB. Wanna totally Simpson-ize your workspace? Check out the
Mr. Burns webcam.
What “Simpsons” fan doesn’t love the loathsome, evil—and hysterically funny—Mr. Burns? But it’s another thing to actually have him watch over you 24/7 in the form of a webcam, which is why we think this gadget is for the uber-fan only. The camera’s resolution is 640x480, capturing 30 frames per second. It also comes with two different sized clips, so you can use it on any monitor. The cam plays well with SKYPE, IM software from MSN, Yahoo and AIM and everything from Windows 98 through Vista. But the piece de resistance? Sitting on Mr. Burns’ desk is none other than…Bobo! He being Mr. Burns’ beloved childhood teddy bear, and the subject of one of the best Simpsons episodes ever. Available for $50 USD.
We recently told you about the Pac-Man Collectors’ Shot Glass set, and now we’ve found this item. As any Simpsons fan knows, Homer enjoys the occasional Duff beer at Moe’s Tavern. So it makes sense there’s now a 6-piece stainless steel drinking set with hip flask, funnel, and four shot glasses. Each is decorated with a picture of Homey and one of his many catchphrases. It even comes in a gift box for that special someone…we just wish it came with a recipe for a ‘‘Flaming Moe.” Available for $30 USD.

There are many reasons to love The Simpsons (although this writer was slightly disappointed with the big screen version). While the show is filled with broad strokes of humor, what makes it so special are the nuances of the characters. This is exemplified by the above action figure, aptly called “Hot for Teacher”, which captures Miss Krabapple and Principal Skinner, well, in action. Skinner’s look of horror—countered by Krabapple’s complete disdain—is absolutely dead-on. We can only imagine the look on Groundskeeper Willie’s face, as we’re assuming he’s the unfortunate one who opened the door.
When will Simpsonmania end? Every other commercial, Fox promo, and site has at least one ka-ching for Matt Groening and crew. We are pleased that in between the Squishees and Krusty battling the BK mascot, we found these anti-Simpson shoes. The Limited Edition Krusty the Demon Vans seem to be so popular that they are only available on eBay, from prices of $127.00 to upwards of $350.00. We did find one pair of Homer in Shattered Glass shoes by the same designer Tony Muñoz for $22.50, unless someone has already snatched them up to resell on eBay for a higher price, too.

We adore WowWee. Their innovative Robosapiens and Dragonbot keep us constantly amused and entertained. So it is no wonder that we fell in love with their London Toy Fair entrants, Spideysapien and the rather buff-looking Homersapien. Both were undoubtedly designed to come out with this summer’s release of the new “Spiderman” and “Simpsons” movies. We expect Homey to utter the inevitable “Do-oh,” but we will be curious to see if he can hand us a Duff Beer.
