John Travolta’s Accuser Dropped by Lawyer

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Rumors,

John TravoltaThe first masseur who accused John Travolta of sexual assault has reportedly been dropped by his lawyer.

The accuser - known only as John Doe # 1 - filed a $2 million dollar lawsuit against the Pulp Fiction actor claiming he made unwanted sexual advances towards him in Los Angeles on January 16, but after the masseur admitted earlier today that he got the date of the alleged attack wrong he is no longer being represented by Los Angeles attorney Okorie Okorocha.

"Okorocha did not feel he could represent John Doe #1 going forward anymore and recommend him finding another lawyer," a source told RadarOnline.com.

But Okorocha will continue to represent a second masseur - who is known only as John Doe #2 - who has also made sexual assault claims against the star, although John's attorney Marty Singer has vehemently denied both allegations.

Beth Ditto: Lady Gaga is For Kids

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Style,

Beth DittoGossip singer Beth Ditto thinks Lady Gaga is important to "five year olds." The musician is a fan of the pop superstar but she doesn't think her songs can ever have as much of an impact on her adult fans as they do on children because it's completely new to the younger generation:

"I think her music is for five year olds. Like when I was five, for me it was Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson. Those people were iconic. I'm 31 so that was like 26 years ago. I think that for the five year old watching MTV right now Lady Gaga is going to be an iconic person. In 20 years, the people who are here and talking to journalists will be like, 'Oh Lady Gaga changed my life, Nicki Minaj changed my life.' They'll be saying who influenced them and it will be Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, artists like that. I don't think it's as relevant when a 31-year-old is saying the same things."

Beth believes it is harder for artists, including Gaga, to reach and inspire older music fans because they have been influenced by so many different types of music already.

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music, Legal Issues,

William BalfourA jury has found Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law William Balfour guilty of murdering her mother, brother and seven-year-old nephew.

Balfour, 31, was found guilty of three counts of murder and four other counts related to the 2008 killings and he now faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison. He had pleaded not guilty to shooting to death the singer's mother Darnell Donerson, 57, her brother Jason Hudson, 29, and her seven-year-old nephew Julian King on October 24, 2008, as well as home invasion, residential burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle related to the killings. His attorney argued there was no forensic evidence linking him to the murders.

The panel took 18 hours deliberating on the case after it went to the jury yesterday at Cook County Court in Chicago, before finding Balfour guilty of triple murder. The actress - who attended every day of the testimony - arrived at court shortly after it was revealed that the jury had reached a verdict.

iOS 6 Maps

Google Maps has been a mainstay on in iOS since the birth of the original iPhone back in 2007. For us, the Maps app is one of our most used apps on the device, and we'd bet that this is the same for many others. However, Apple need Google Maps anymore. The company has purchased multiple mapping companies in the past couple of years, including C3 Technologies, Poly9, and Placebase. We haven't really seen the fruits of these acquisitions yet, but that may all be changing with iOS 6.

Internet Explorer for Xbox 360

Looks like Microsoft is finally ready to bring Internet Explorer to the Xbox 360 after many years on the market. It turns out that the company has been testing an Xbox-optimized version of Internet Explorer 9 that supports the Bing voice search feature that's currently available on the platform. As with most things that Microsoft builds for the Xbox 360 these days, IE will have deeply-integrated Kinect integration, allowing users to speak web pages into existence, and wave to navigate. No word yet on availability, but E3 is just a few weeks away, and we'd bet that we'll see it in all its glory there.
