Posted by Tom Mason Categories: Conventions, Editorials, Independent,

People WatchingIn the world of instant digital books, this was bound to happen sooner or later.

Paul Moore went to the Phoenix Comic Con over the Memorial Day weekend, and took a bunch of photos. Then he created a three-volume series of Kindle e-books reproducing those photos. I got the first one from Amazon for free during a promotion (it may still be going on).

People Watching Comic Con Phoenix 2012 - Volume 1 is approximately 75 pages, and 70 of them are photographs from the con. According to Moore’s description, “There is nothing quite as fun as people watching that is not either fattening, illegal, or immoral.”

Justin Bieber in ParisJustin Bieber can't move his eyebrow after running into a glass wall on Thursday.

The "Boyfriend" hitmaker suffered a concussion after hitting his head backstage at a surprise performance in Paris, France, and it has left him with a "weird" sensation above his eye.

"I got in a fight with a glass window yesterday, and in result I can't move my eyebrow. There's no wrinkles on this eye. How weird is that? There's some weird stuff going on there," he said in a video posted yesterday.

The 18-year-old heartthrob had managed to complete his performance after the accident, but passed out briefly in his dressing room afterwards. "Just smacked my head and needed some water. All good. I'm Canadian. We are tough. LOL. It's all good. Just gotta take it easy the rest of the night. Back at it again for you guys tomorrow. Thanks," he wrote on Twitter.

Lady Gaga’s New Album Will Be ‘Insane’

Lady GagaLady Gaga's new album will be "insane."

The "Marry the Night" hitmaker is already working on the follow-up to Born This Way - which was released in May 2011 - and her co-manager, Vincent Herbert, thinks it will defy all expectations.

"There's a lot of work to come, [I'm] very excited about it. [It's] just an insane, great record. She's on tour right now, but it's just going to be a great record. Look out for the unexpected when it comes to her. We're doing it on the road right now, so it's a little hard, but it's going to be great," Vincent said, speaking to website That Grape Juice.

Gaga is currently undertaking a two-year Born This Way Ball world tour but won't let that get in the way of her plans to make a new album, as parts of Born This Way were also recorded on the road. Her single "Marry The Night" took shape with producer Fernando Garibay whilst on her previous tour in 2009.

Russell Brand Enjoyed Kissing Alec Baldwin

Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand in 'Rock of Ages'

Russell Brand's onscreen smooch with Alec Baldwin was "one of the greatest kisses" he's ever had.

The pair locked lips in new movie Rock of Ages and Russell joked he enjoyed their kiss so much that he deliberately made mistakes so they could do multiple takes: "Alec Baldwin has been one of the great kisses of my life. Like, to be honest, in the first few takes I deliberately made it go wrong just so I could kiss him more often. I'd go, 'Oh sorry, I was wearing a baseball cap in the scene. Oh sorry, I think I stumbled, I opened my eyes.' So they did take after take, kiss after kiss, and I thought if I keep kissing that man, eventually I can make him love me."

Channing Tatum: Ryan Gosling’s Kiss Was Better Than Mine

The Vow and The Notebook

Channing Tatum thinks that his kiss with Rachel McAdams in The Vow wasn't as good as hers with Ryan's Gosling in The Notebook.

The 32-year-old actor is up for the Best Kiss accolade at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, but isn't confident his smooch in the film is of the same caliber that his 31-year-old rival brought to the romantic scenes.
Ryan and Rachel, 33, won in the same category in 2005 and recreated their lip lock on stage while accepting the award.

Pink is Hospitalized

PinkPink has been hospitalized with stomach flu.

The "So What" singer took herself to a medical center after falling ill, and Tweeted a picture of herself in bed, sipping a drink with an intravenous (IV) drip attached to her arm.

"Maybe it's cause my mum was an Emergency Room nurse all my life - but throw me in a gown and a hook me up to an IV- and I'm a happy girl. Stomach flu sucks but morphine doesn't (sic)," she wrote.

After hundreds of people rushed to wish her well, the singer - real name Alecia Moore - gave her thanks, and clarified her previous comment, saying she was joking about the morphine, a strong painkiller commonly used on patients suffering extreme discomfort.
