Keith Richards says that "the door is wide open," for Jack White to produce The Rolling Stones.
The legendary "Paint it Black" band's guitarist said they are meeting next month to discuss plans to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and he is keen for them to head to the studio.
"I'd love to get some tracks down and see what songs we've got. And that goes along with part of getting the band back together and getting things moving. So I'd love to cut some tracks, yeah," he told Rolling Stone.
When asked if blues renaissance man Jack - a friend of Keith who worked on some demo material with him in 2009 - would produce the new material, he replied, "That's always a possibility. The door is wide open."

Roger Slifer Could Use A Hand
Posted by Tom Mason Categories: Editorials, Television, DC Comics, Marvel Comics,
You’ve probably seen this all over the internets, but a little more won’t hurt. Veteran comic book writer Roger Slifer was hit by a car this past weekend.
Roger worked for both DC (where he created Lobo) and Marvel (where he worked on Avengers and Marvel Two-In-One), and later produced and/or story-edited the TV shows Jem And The Holograms, Transformers, Street Fighter and others.
Here’s the story, as reported by Flint Dille:
“Roger Slifer is in intensive care after being run over in a hit and run on Friday Night around 1:00. We had originally thought of keeping this quiet, because Roger is a fairly private guy, but as word is out and time might be of the essence if we're going to find the hit-and-run driver, I'll post what I know.

John Travolta Sued For Assault

John Travolta is being sued for assault by cruise ship worker Fabian Zanzi.
The Grease actor has previously been accused by the man of exposing himself during a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2009, but Fabian is now requesting unspecified damages for the alleged assault, TMZ.com reports.
John - who is married to Kelly Preston - allegedly asked for a meal to be delivered to his room, where he then asked Fabian for a neck massage. He then claims the actor dropped his robe when he went to reach for his neck and forcefully embraced him, telling him he was "beautiful." When he resisted, Travolta reportedly offered him $12,000 to remain silent about the issue. Fabian claims he told management on board the cruise ship about the event but they refused to allow him to write out any details.
It is the second time in recent days the legendary star has been sued.

Salma Hayek Set For 30 Rock Return

Salma Hayek has promised to return to 30 Rock.
The actress appeared in the third season of the comedy for a multi-episode arc portraying Elisa, the girlfriend of NBC executive Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin), and creator Tina Fey has made her commit to a return before the show finishes its seventh and final season.
"I tried to tell Salma Hayek that she has to come back. She said that she would and I'm going to hold her to that," Tina told Entertainment Weekly.
Salma isn't the only star on Tina's "bucket list," she also hopes to lure Michael Sheen, Isabella Rossellini and other guest stars back to the show: "There are going to be people that we've always wanted to have on that we haven't, for various reasons, been able to yet. Or characters we've enjoyed so much that we want to bring back at some point before we leave. I always wanted to get Michael Benjamin Washington back on who played Donald Jordan, the older son. Of course we want to get Dennis Duffy in at some point. I'd love to get Michael Sheen to come back as Wesley Snipes. I'd love to get Isabella Rossellini back because we were reminding ourselves that Jack was married before, and she was a very pivotal character once."

Smashing Pumpkins Frustrated by Fans

Smashing Pumpkins get frustrated when fans just want to hear their old songs.
Frontman Billy Corgan says despite all the work he puts into writing new material, fans often just want them to play the classics:
"We met this wall resistance like, 'It's nice you guys want to move forward, but can't you just play the old songs?' I've had five years of 'Can't you just play the old songs?' The whole time, all I've done is put my head down and try to make new music. You reach a point of literal frustration where you start going, 'Maybe this is never going to move forward? Maybe the vague 'they' out there will never accept The Smashing Pumpkins of this time?'"
However, concertgoers could be disappointed next time they're at a show because Billy says they plan to play their latest offering Oceania in its entirety with only few fan favorites thrown in:
