Anyone who remembers Joey Tribbiani pretending to be uncircumcised on Friends might be shocked to learn this little fun fact: was covering up another part of his body at that same time.

According to the star of Showtime’s upcoming comedy Episodes, the grey hair we’ve seen him sporting recently is not exactly a new thing. In fact, he was hitting the bottle back during his NBC days.

“I dyed my hair the whole time I was on ,” the 43-year-old admitted during the Television Critics Association summer press tour. “I just was sick of doing it.”

First Look: Dexter Season 5 Trailer

When the Showtime series returns on September 26, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) will have to add “single father” and “grieving husband who shows know emotions” to his list of responsibilities. How is he going to juggle it all and keep Quinn (Desmond Harrington) off his track? And how the heck does Julia Stiles figure into all of this?? I’m dying to know.

Preview Season 6 of Weeds

When returns to Showtime next month, fans will see the Botwins taking a new path - straight out of town.

Last summer’s deadly finale will result in new adventures for both the family and the comedy’s writers in Season 6.

“You have to reinvent the show. Now we’re about to send the characters fleeing on the road so you have the opportunity to make new characters, new personas,” executive producer Victoria Morrow explained at a Comic-Con panel. “[It’s] basically a decimation of all the Botwins’ work and a rebirth.”

2010 Primetime Emmy Nominations



The road to the officially kicked off early this morning. Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara (who received a nod) and Community‘s Joel McHale (who didn’t) were the ones who had the honor of reading this year’s list of nominees.

Although - with 17 nominations - once again topped off all dramas, 30 Rock did

not

lead the comedies. did. The freshman FOX series raked in a total of 19 noms, only a handful short of the overall leader. (HBO’s miniseries, The Pacific, received 24 mentions.) 30 Rock did receive 15 nominations, though, while Modern Family followed closely behind with 14.

The August 29 ceremony - which NBC will air live on both the East and West coasts - will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon. You can see a partial list of nominees after the jump.

TV Talk: Steve Carell’s Office Exit, Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Return

Steve Carell-Could The Office survive without Steve Carell? The comedian recently told the BBC that the upcoming season will “probably be” his last year.

-Dexter fans can breathe a sigh of relief. A “fully recovered” Michael C. Hall is expected to return to work this summer after battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

-HBO has new date for you to mark on your calendar. Entourage and Hung will both premiere on June 27, two weeks after True Blood‘s debut.

-Could Matt LeBlanc use some Friends? Both Thomas Haden Church and Claire Forlani have dropped out of Episodes, LeBlanc’s new Showtime comedy. Church blames scheduling conflicts; Forlani’s reason is unknown.

-Love is in the air on CNN. Anchors John Roberts and Kyra Phillips were recently engaged. Roberts proposed last weekend during a game of golf.


Laura Linney Has The Big C


She’s a Golden Globe winner, an Emmy winner and a three-time Oscar nominee. Now, is facing her biggest title yet: cancer patient.

In the new Showtime series The Big C, Linney is joined by Oscar nominee and Golden Globe nominee Oliver Platt in this story about a woman who is diagnosed with the disease. Laura also served as executive producer on the dark comedy which will air back-to-back with Season 6 of Weeds.

will debut Monday, August 16 @ 10:30.

During the four-day event, non-subscribers will get the chance to view programs normally stacked up in their Netflix queue.
