The Verizon verison of the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone goes on sale on July 10th, but we were able to snag our unit a few days early. We're actively working on a full Samsung Galaxy S III review, and as normal, we're kicking things off with a bunch of photos. Go ahead and check out our Samsung Galaxy S III unboxing gallery to get a look at both the LTE smartphone, as well as everything else included in the box, and stay tuned for the review early next week.
While other carriers have released on-sale dates for the Samsung Galaxy S III, Verizon hasn't given any specifics until now. Those waiting for the Galaxy S III to hit big red can now mark the calendar for July 10th, just a week from today. One nice thing about the smartphone on Verizon's network is that it supports its 4G LTE network, so you get all that speedy goodness for the same $199.99 that you'd pay on competing carriers.

Hey, are you looking to pick up the new Samsung Galaxy S III on day one here in the USA? If so, pre-ordering is your best bet, and all four major carriers now have their Galaxy S III pages live and ready to accept your cash, and US Cellular will do the same on June 12th. Here are the links:
AT&T has announced that it's going to begin pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III on June 6th (the same day that Verizon Galaxy S III pre-orders begin.) Items of note here: first, AT&T will only be selling the 16 GB model, which costs $200. They will not be selling the more spacious 32 GB version. However, they'll also be offering an additional color that isn't available on the other US carriers--red. That makes the three color choices red, white, and blue on AT&T. It's the season of patriotism, so, why not?
Verizon Wireless has announced that it will begin taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III beginning on June 6. That's right--in two days you'll be able to put your $200 down for the 16 GB Galaxy S III, or $250 if you'd prefer the 32 GB model. The Verizon Galaxy S III will be compatible with its 4G LTE network, and ships with Android 4.0.

As we reported, Flipboard for Android has leaked and is now available for download to pretty much any Android device, obliterating the Samsung Galaxy S III limited exclusivity window. Want it right now? Sure you do. Here's how to get it:
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S III, one of the little touches of the presentation was that Flipboard would finally be coming to Android, with limited exclusivity to the Galaxy S III. However, the app has leaked, and pretty much anyone running an Android device can install it, right now, long before the Galaxy S III even ships. You can grab the APK (Android installation file) over on the XDA-developers forum. We've got full instructions on how to install Flipboard for Android as well.

Buyers will simply need to register their Galaxy S III, and we presume they also need to install the Dropbox Android app. From there, they'll receive 50 GB of Dropbox storage for two years. Definitely a nice bonus if you ask us.
