Kim Deal to Return to Pixies?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Reunions, Rumors, Alternative, Rock,

Kim DealKim Deal could return to the Pixies.

The "Debaser" group announced this summer how their bassist had quit last year and although Kim Shattuck has been drafted in to replace her on the road, drummer Dave Lovering insists Kim could return in future: "We left it open. It was sad and tough when she left but we wish her well and she has a welcome back if she'd like to."

Kim departed suddenly a week into a planned six-week recording session and the band found it very "distressing" working out what to do next. "When she said she was leaving, it was distressing and there was a lot of panic and we were like, 'What are we going to do?' We were in the studio and it was all paid for, so we're thinking, 'Do you break up the band?' We thought the correct thing is to go forward. So we did," Dave said.

Chris Brown Revokes Retirement?

Chris BrownChris Brown appears to have revoked his intention to retire.

The "Beautiful People" singer said he was quitting music last month claiming people were too caught up with his private life to pay attention to his tracks, but the lure of the studio seems to have proved too great to keep him away for long. "One thing you can't do is make more songs than me. I'ma robot in da booth. Limiting your self is the worst thing u can do. #BEGREAT" he wrote on Twitter. "The party don't ever stop so the show must continue!"

Chris, 24, then retweeted a link to a new single he features on, "Show Me" by Los Angeles rapper Kid Ink.

The positive outlook comes a month after Chris said he was "tired of being famous" and wants to stop after his upcoming album X because he's fed up of still hitting the headlines for the domestic violence altercation he had with ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009.

David Beckham in Talks About $1.5 Million Soccer Return

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Sports, Rumors,

David BeckhamDavid Beckham is in talks about making an instant return to playing soccer - in India.

The 38-year-old star - who announced his retirement from the sport last month - has been approached about joining a new franchise-based league of eight teams, which would run from January 14 to March 13, and experts believe he could earn $1.5 million for two months' work.

"Basically Becks can charge whatever he wants. What he would do for the league in terms of international interest and publicity is priceless," a source said.

The former England captain has been approached about playing in the Indian super league - a soccer version of the IPL cricket league - alongside his former England teammate Michael Owen and Spanish star Raul.

Since hanging up his boots last month following the end of the season with French champions Paris Saint Germain, David has been linked to a number of new careers, with movie mogul Harvey Weinstein tipping the soccer star to be a hit in Hollywood.

Jennifer Lopez Could Return as ‘American Idol’ Judge

Jennifer Lopez on 'American Idol'Jennifer Lopez reportedly wants to return to American Idol. The 43-year-old star looks set to take back her seat on the judging panel when Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj - who quit the talent show last week to focus on their music careers - leave.

Her manager Benny Medina is said to have met with show bosses to discuss her potential comeback. "J.Lo's manager, Benny Medina, was in talks with FOX even before Mariah and Nicki announced their departures last week. Benny told FOX that she does indeed want to return. They're talking. Negotiations are in their infant stages, but they're underway to get her back to the judges' table," a source said.

FOX bosses are eager to claw back viewing figures after this season's finale saw ratings drop to 14.2 million, which is the lowest they've ever been since the show started in 2002. They believe a revamp of judges could be what is needed - including losing Keith Urban. "It's unlikely that this season's fourth judge, Keith Urban, will also stick around. The show needs an overhaul," an insider said.

‘X Factor’ Wants Cheryl Cole Back?

Cheryl ColeCheryl Cole could be offered a huge deal to return to The X Factor.

The 29-year-old pop star was sacked during the show's first series in 2011 before suing Simon Cowell's talent show for $2.3 million, but it's now being reported she could be offered a big contract to tempt a return for the former judge.

"This is a massive move from Simon. He's going right out there and saying that he made a mistake in sacking her. After she was shunted off the show, TV critics in the US said in reviews that she was the best thing about the program - and it seems for once that Simon was wrong. Over the past two seasons, the X Factor hasn't performed as Simon would have wanted - now it looks like Cheryl will be the savior," a source said.

The insider speculates the Girls Aloud singer might not accept the deal after the added "humiliation" of being replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the UK version of the show.
