Super Smash Bros. comes to 3DS this summer, Wii U in winter
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fighting, Nintendo, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U,
Nintendo has announced the Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Nintendo 3DS this summer, and Wii U later this winter. Both versions will heavily promote online play with friends through Nintendo's Miiverse, as well as through random matches with other players.
Nintendo also says it will monitor the behavior of online players, and will punish those who are a hindrance to others, including those who leave matches early, bully others, cheat, etc. Skill-based matchmaking will also be incorporated to keep things fair and fun.
The Nintendo 3DS version in particular will feature a new mode called Smash Run where up to four players get five minutes to team up and beat up enemies in exchange for power-ups. After five minutes is up, those power-ups are put into play, as the players engage in a battle against each other.
No specific release dates were given for either version of the game, but we'll likely get that information in a couple of months at E3.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner to Release YA Novel in June

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are to release their novel in June.
The reality TV stars have turned into budding authors after penning thrilling young adult book Rebels: City of Indra, which is based on two young girls Lex and Livia, who embark on a journey together, but later realize their biggest danger might be each other.
"Kylie and I love the creative challenge and are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share this story," Kendall, 18, said.
Kylie, 16, added, "We can't wait to share these characters and the world we created with readers everywhere. We are so excited!"
The brunette beauties have teamed up with writer Maya Sloan for the novel, which is "set 200 years in the future," for publisher Karen Hunter at Simon & Schuster. However, the youngsters - who have their own clothing line - have held back some of their creative ideas as they want to write a series based on Lex and Livia. "We want to do something so different, something that we really love," Kendall said.

The "Happy" singer, who is preparing for his performance at the BRITs tonight, will release his new record on Monday, March 3 through Columbia Records.

One was the sense of overwhelming honor that I felt when I realized that they were interested in partnering with me on the album that I had always dreamed of making. Two, it would have to feel festive and urgent. And three, I instantly knew it would be called G I R L," he said, adding, "I hope you like it."

Lana Del Rey Leaks ‘Ultra-Violence’ Release Date
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Artist News, Upcoming Releases, Videos, Pop,
Lana Del Rey has spilled the beans (by accident!) about the release date for her upcoming album, Ultra-Violence.
While signing autographs and chatting with fans, Lana was caught off guard when one of them armed with a camera asks her, "When is your album coming out?" To which she answers, ""It's coming out soon... May 1st." The woman behind the camera responds, "May 1st? Has that date been announced? This is the first time we're hearing that date." The singer then realizes that she's being filmed, smiling, she exclaims, "What - is that on video?" She quickly tries to save herself by simply saying, "I think so," when the surrounding fans ask her for confirmation of the date.

Grace of Monaco to Open Cannes Film Festival

Grace of Monaco will open this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Olivier Dahan's biopic, which stars Nicole Kidman as the iconic Hollywood actress-turned-princess, is set to make its grand debut on May 14 during the prestigious film festival in the south of France, although it will appear out of the competition.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news amidst rumors the movie might never see the big screen after it was pulled from the official US release schedule on Thursday. The film's original November release was delayed because it was said not to be ready for viewing, and it was then pushed back to March 14.
Dahan previously admitted he disagreed with Harvey Weinstein over the film's final edit, which was thought to be the reason behind the delay. "What's complicated at the moment is ensuring that you, the critics, can review my version of the film and not that of somebody else. It's not over yet. I haven't given up," he said.

Fans looking forward to Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman will have to wait a little longer for the big screen showdown between the two DC superheroes.
In order to "allow the filmmakers time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story," Warner Bros. has decided to push the release date of the film forward from July 15, 2015 to May 6, 2016 (what's another 10 months when folks are already waiting over a year for it to hit theaters?).

This past week has proven to be both good and bad for Lord of the Rings fans.
While fans of the franchise's latest film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, rejoiced this weekend over its box office achievement in earning more than $1 billion, Warner Bros. confirmed that the second film in the three-part series, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, will not be released in theaters until December 13, 2014. The delay is about six months later than its initial release date of July 18, 2014.
There is no word as to why the decision was made for the delay in the Peter Jackson-helmed project, which was filmed at the same time as the other two installments.
