Taylor Swift Inspires Lena Dunham When She Writes ‘Girls’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Comedy, Drama, Prime Time, HBO, Features,
Lena Dunham writes Girls when she's listening to Taylor Swift.
The writer and star of the huge HBO drama always puts her friend's records - famous for their tracks lamenting lost loves - when she's thinking of ideas for the show.
"She writes her own destiny in a way which is very unusual, especially for a young woman in the world of pop music. I wrote half of the first season of Girls listening to her Speak Now album and wrote much of the third season listening to Red," Lena said.
Lena, 27, is proud to call Taylor, 24, a friend and says she is always asking her for advice because she is very wise: "Taylor is a good friend of mine. I call her and text her all time. She helps me be stronger and make better decisions. She has amazing creative instincts. She's really a proponent of not feeling pressure from anybody else and recognizing that you have a better connection to what your 'brand' is than anybody else."

Quote of the Day: Taylor Swift on Songwriting, Exes
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Gossip, Rumors, Country, Pop, New Releases,
"I only write songs about crazy love. If I go on two dates with a guy and we don't click, I'm not writing a song about that. It didn't matter in the emotional grand scheme of things. There's a lot that goes on in daily life that isn't really worth turning into a verse and a chorus... I heard from the guy that most of Red is about. He was like, 'I just listened to the album, and that was a really bittersweet experience for me. It was like going through a photo album.' That was nice."
- Taylor Swift reveals that she doesn't write a song about every guy she hooks up with, which is what apparently most folks believed. (Shocker!)

Taylor Swift Sings About Jake Gyllenhaal
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Rumors, Country, Pop, New Releases,
Taylor Swift's song "The Last Time" is allegedly about her ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.
The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer - whose new album Red sold 1.2 million copies last week - has revealed the break-up song is about an "unreliable guy" and refers to a Hollywood lifestyle sparking rumors it is about the 31-year-old Love And Other Drugs actor.
The 22-year-old singer, who dated Jake for a few months last year - told Guy Raz on National Public Radio, "The idea was based on this experience I had with someone who was kind of this unreliable guy. You never know when he's going to leave, you never know when he's going to come back, but he always does come back. It's a really fragile emotion you're dealing with when you want to love someone, but you don't know if it's smart to."
Last year it was reported that Jake both initiated their relationship and decided to end it because he couldn't stand the attention, leaving Taylor devastated."He said he wasn't feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got. He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn't listen," a source said at the time.

Ne-Yo is desperate to work with Adele. The "Let Me Love You" hitmaker wants to get in the studio with the pregnant "Someone Like You" singer when she is "done having babies" and insists she is at the very top of a huge list of musicians he would love to work with in his career.
"There is a list a mile long of people I want to work with, I just don't have the time. But top of that list right now is definitely Adele. I think she's pregnant right now so she's got some time away, but Adele, as soon as you get done having babies and doing all that then let me know, we need to get in the studio."

New Samsung Galaxy S III color options revealed
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Smartphones, Design,
When the Samsung Galaxy S III was announced, we thought the two colors that it would be available in, white and pebble blue, both looked great and should satisfy anyone. Not so, says Samsung. The company is set to drop four additional Galaxy S III colors: Sapphire Black, Amber Brown, Titanium Gray, and Garnet Red (which AT&T got a bit early.) The colors will be mixed between various carriers, so don't expect to have your pick of the litter at your local store, okay?

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Accessories, Apple, Smartphones,
Apple is set to unveil its next-generation iPhone 5 in a little over three weeks, but that hasn't stopped the company from releasing a new accessory for the iPhone 4 and 4S. The new (PRODUCT) RED bumper fits and works with the iPhone 4S, as well as the iPhone 4 from two years ago. It's $29 and joins the black, white, blue, orange, green, and pink bumpers in the Apple lineup. Oddly, it doesn't ship for 6-8 weeks, when the next iPhone launches. Buyer beware--if you plan on picking up the next iPhone, just realize that this bumper won't fit that model.

Taylor Swift Promises ‘Little Codes’ in New Songs
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Upcoming Releases, Country, Pop,
Taylor Swift has hidden "little codes in the lyrics" of her new album.
The "Speak Now" hitmaker is renowned for writing songs about her famous ex-boyfriends, and admits there are clues on her new album, Red, as to who she is singing about. "It's pretty difficult to come up with, because I know you guys are going to figure them out. With the last album, I thought I was much more clever and cryptic than I really was. [But I'm trying to] hide little codes in lyrics," she told USA Today.
The first puzzle to emerge is on Taylor's first single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," a heartbreak song which features the line, "And you would hide away and find your peace of mind / With some indie record that's much cooler than mine.
