Sega Fireworks will have a new projector out this August, with a decided twist. The 190×205×200mm portable device has the ability to show electronic fireworks on your wall or ceiling. With a library of 55 different virtual displays, it is powered by 3 AAA batteries. Not many details were given out besides its ¥15,540 price (~$160.00,) but here’s what we are thinking: If you have ever seen an electronic fireworks greeting card, it gets rather annoying after the first thirty seconds. Ooh, ahh.

The T30 is geared for iPhone and iPod users who want to have a larger view than they get now with an RGB LED included and an image size of up to 50-inches. The T20 can be used with notebooks, needs a battery, has USB connectivity with a 640x480 resolution and a maximum image size of 42-inches. Both will become available by the end of the year with no price released so far.

DigiLife HD Camcorder/Projector DDV-JF1

DigiLife Camcorder/ProjectorDigiLife has a new pocket HD camcorder. From the outside, this camcorder looks like a dozen others. The DDV-JF1 shoots and displays 720p video on its 2.5-inch LCD display. As an added bonus, it has a built-in 640x360 pico projector. There is not much more information about the combo device, but the company plans to display it at Computex this month and no doubt we will hear more then.

Nokia Pulse Projector

Pulse ProjectorMiika Mahonen has designed the Nokia Pulse Projector that combines an LED projector and an NXT speaker with Dolby Sound. Relying on Pulse software and Bluetooth connectivity, it can be paired up with a cell phone. The prototype is given specifications of a resolution of 1,280 x 768, a contrast ratio of 1,500:1 and 1,000 lumens brightness. The projector can send images of 15 to 60-inches from up to about 7 1/2 feet away.

Sanyo LP-WXU700 WiFi Projector

Sanyo Japan has unveiled their LP-WXU700 Projector, supposedly the world’s first to be WiFi enabled. At a size of 334.2 X 78.4 X 257.5mm and weight of 3.6kg, it supports the IEEE802.11n standard and is designed for portability. The WXGA projector has a 500:1 contrast ratio, 3,800 lumens of brightness and can stream video through a PC. HDMI and USB interfaces are included as well. On sale in Japan on June 19 for ~$6,300.00, there is no word as yet to when it will arrive in other countries.

Inamo Interactive Touch Panel Tables

Blacksheep, a London architecture and design office, created the restaurant Inamo’s tables with projector and computer above each one. Customers utilize the touch panel to order food, change the look of the table, check out the kitchen webcam and play games. The interactive furniture can also call up local information on services like booking a cab. You can see it in action here. Someday soon we hope this becomes more commonplace, however if games are involved, there may a considerable waiting list.

Colibri Projector ModuleTiny, tiny, tiny. Explay’s Colibri module is a compact mobile projector that can handle VGA, WVGA or SVGA resolutions. The device is all of 24 x 28.6 x 7mm and draws 1.3W power. It will be placed in Explay’s OiO which features 2.5 hrs of usage and pictures from 7 to 70-inches. The projector can be placed from 20 to 200cm away from either a flat or curved surface, thanks to its “Always Focus” technology.

Samsung MBP200 Projector With Screen

MBP200Now you can have your projector and screen, too. The Samsung MBP200 can create a 50-inch projection and also has a bonus 2.2-inch QVGA LCD viewing screen. Other features include a micro SD card slot and a TI DLP pico chip to run it. Connect to Samsung mobile phones or laptops, attach a piece of paper to its hidden screen holder and you get instant projection. The projector also has a built-in speaker and headphone jack. A CES Design winner, expect the MBP to be released later this year and contact the company for exact date and price.

Castrade ProjectorEven tinier than the Pico is the Castrade CV-MP01. The mini-projector is 1.5 x 2.5 x 3-inches and weighs a mere 90g, and is perfect for travelers. Somehow they managed to pack in a 10 lumen LED light that is good for about 10,000 hours. With a 4:3 aspect ratio, it features a mono speaker with 200mW output and manual focus. So far it is only available in Japan for ¥25,000 (~$280.00.)
