Report: Next-generation iPhone 5 pre-orders to begin September 12

Apple is set to begin pre-orders of the next-generation iPhone 5 on September 12, according to iMore. You might recognize that date as being the same day that Apple will unveil its next smartphone to the world, so it looks like pre-orders will begin later that day. The smaller 7.85-inch iPad is also heavily rumored to make an appearance on 9/12 as well. The next iPhone is expected to see a September 21 release, with international sales kicking off on October 5.

The console will sell for $399.99, and will be released on November 6, 2012. You get the Xbox 360 console that decked out in Halo 4 artwork, along with two wireless controllers with artwork as well. The green LEDs are swapped out for blue, and the console has custom sounds from the Halo world. The actual Halo 4 game is also included. Pre-order it now at Amazon.


Sprint set to release Samsung Galaxy Nexus on April 22

Sprint customers have been patiently waiting for the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus since it was announced a few months ago at CES. Well, we're happy to report that the wait is almost over. The Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus is now available for pre-order for $199, and will ship next week on April 22nd. Buyers will also score a total of $50 in Google Wallet credit as well ($10 off the bat, and another $40 three weeks later) which is nice.

Anticipated PC Demos Dropping This Week: World in Conflict and BioShock

World in Conflict

Timed to sync with the start of and , will release a rather full-featured demo of their upcoming real-time “action” strategy game on Friday containing demos of both the single-player mode via a tutorial, plus one mission as well as multiplayer supporting 16 players. There will be one multiplayer map available to all demo-downloaders that can also be played in solo skirmish mode and a second map playable only by those who pre-order the game. World in Conflict is designed to incorporate first-person shooter elements like speed into the RTS genre and by design requires no resource management. The game is due out September 18th.

In other demo-related news, the PC version of the demo that users have been enjoying since last week is out in time for the full retail release of the game. Any PC users on the fence about this game can check out the first half hour or so of the game and most likely put it down only long enough to run to the store and buy the full copy.

Sam and Max Episode 5 Now Available to Pre-orderers

Reality 2.0 from Sam and MaxOriginally, Telltale Games advertised that Gametap subscribers would be getting each Sam and Max episode a bit before the lowly non-subscribers. For those of you that didn’t want to subscribe to Gametap, though, there’s some good news. Telltale has decided to be nice and release Sam and Max Season 1 Episode 5: Reality 2.0 a few days early for all of you Sam and Max lovers that bought the season in advance.

Personally, I like owning my games, not leasing them from a service like Gametap, so it’s nice to see that Telltale is showing some love for loyal Sam and Max followers.
