Will J.Lo and Epic Records Part Ways?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Gossip, Rumors,
Rumor has it that Jennifer Lopez may soon be in the market for a new record label, as sources purportedly close to Epic Records say the diva’s album sales aren’t doing well. Couple sinking sales with the expenses related to Lopez promotions, and you’re looking at one angry label. According to the source, her last album cost over $60,000 – for the cover alone.
Epic absorbs the cost of Lopez’s promotional expenses as well, which supposedly cost $8,000 in makeup per appearance. Are you flipping kidding me? Eight large on makeup for a woman that everyone already thinks is hot? No wonder Epic is tired of J.Lo’s epic spending.

VH1’s Surprising New Show
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Reality, Cable, Gossip,
Taking a page out of A&E’s book, VH1 has reunited former pop/R&B legends Salt ‘N’ Pepa. The trio (which once included Spinderella) enjoyed mega success with hits like “What a Man,” “Push It,” and “Let’s Talk About Sex.” Then, suddenly, Salt ‘N’ Pepa vanished. In case anyone was wondering what happened to them, now you’ve got the chance.
VH1 is the esteemed power behind such shows as America’s Most Smartest Model, and don’t forget this is the cable network that brought us Flavor Flav. But don’t let that turn you off Salt ‘N’ Pepa, because you probably couldn’t avoid them even if you tried.
In a rare and surprising twist for VH1, actual musical performers (and get this-–music) are being featured on the new reality show. Some of the scenes between these former best friends are surprisingly touching and heartfelt, and viewers get a real sense of how very different these two spicy performers are. Salt is a mother and attends church, regularly performing gospel versions of her former hit songs. Pepa is also a mother but still loves being sexy, throwing herself into each performance with the energy fans once loved.
Haven’t seen the debut episode? Never fear-–VH1 is running it repeatedly, a pleasant change from shows like I Love New York and Rock of Love.
