Have a question about your career, girl/boyfriend, money matters, or perhaps something trivial? Dearinter.net claims to have the answer. The beta site calls itself “the ultimate tool for rapidly expressing opinions.” There is no charge for participating but you need to register if you want to ask a specific question. Dearinter has answer-o-matic voting with sections such as “what’s hot,” “most answered’ and “best of.” Before they finalize the site, we hope they go a little heavier on the ink.

Time for another one of our polls, this one being somewhat less polarizing than our last few. With things like next-generation game consoles, Blu-ray players, and the like, we are curious if you have a surround sound system that you use to get the most from your setup. Basically, we wanna know if you do, is it 5.1 or 7.1? Or do you keep it real with regular old stereo sound? Respond to the poll, but be sure to also hit us in the comments to share what kind of gear you’re using, okay?
We already told you about our crazy iPhone 3G launch day purchase fiasco, but now we wanna hear from you guys. Was what we experienced accurate? Did you just end up flying through purchase and activation, with no problems at all? Or was your experience more like ours, where things seemed to go wrong at every turn? Let us know!
So, now that we’ve cleared up the iPhone 3G price confusion (we think), we are curious what you guys will be picking up once the device is unleashed. Apple has moved away from the aluminum-looking backing, instead opting for a glossy black finish on the 8GB iPhone 3G. However, if you opt for the 16GB model, you get a choice between glossy black and glossy white. What say you?
Our buds at TiVo have been at it again with one of their surveys, in time for Dad’s day. It seems that when 700 men were asked what shows they liked, the results were surprising:
- Dancing With the Stars – 33%
- Grey’s Anatomy – 24%
- Desperate Housewives – 22%
- Access Hollywood – 17%
- TMZ – 16%
Also in time for the holiday, TiVo is offering several gift packs such as the Advantage Package that includes an 80-hour TiVo Series2 Dual Tuner DVR with TiVo service gift card. It has an instant $150.00 rebate which makes it only $99.99. Check out their site for other deals for your father/partner/spouse.

Amidst all the Zune news of the past day, we were curious to get the pulse out there. How excited are you about the whole Zune Social thing? We’ve gotta admit, when we saw some of the ideas that the peeps over at Microsoft came up with as it pertains to music discovery within Zune, powered by your social network, we were kinda digging it. So, what say you? Have you gone and customized a Zune Card for yourself, maybe even syncing a few to your Zune device? Do you keep WiFi powered on when you take your device out and about in anticipation of swapping tracks? Or are you one of those who just stay as far away from the Social as possible? Sound off and let us know.
With the HD DVD/Blu-ray format war being over, the new “war” if you will is the one between digital delivery of movies, versus good ol’ optical media. We want to know how you feel about this. Do you prefer buying movies using Apple TV, thus avoiding a trip to the local Target? Or are the type of person who prefers all the bells and whistles that something like a Blu-ray disc has to offer (7.1 lossless audio, pure 1080p video)? I think it is safe to say that we are moving towards a digital download lifestyle, but with current broadband speeds in the USA, we think that it might be a while before it can compete with optical. Your thoughts?
Alright, so we know that the 3G iPhone will be in our hands in the next couple of months. What we need to know from you guys is if it is enough to push you over the edge to buy. Do you already own an iPhone? Are you happy with it to the point where you won’t be upgrading until it no longer works? Or are you the type to go sell it immediately so you can get the 3G version right away? We know there are even some of you out there who are disenchanted with this whole iPhone thing, and you guys stick with your Blackberrys, Windows Mobile phones, etc. In any case, let us know how all these recent iPhone rumors are affecting your psyche.
In light of the news that Parallels has sold over 1 million copies of their Parallels Desktop for Mac software, we figured we’d gauge the pulse of the Gear Live community to see what you guys think. The other day, Apple reported some amazing sales figures as far as the Mac goes. Desktops and portable sales are up. We are thinking there is a connection between those numbers and the fact that Parallels - which lets you run Windows inside of OS X - has been selling to well.
So we want to know, how does the fact that you can run Windows right on your Mac, and inside of OS X, affect your PC purchasing decisions?
As we wind down Earth Day 2008, we wanted to check in with you guys to see just how environmentally concious you are when making your gadget purchases. We want to know, when you are making a purchase, do you care how environmentally friendly it is? Do you check the EnergyStar rating and compare it to other items? Do you look for packaging that can be recycled? Or do green gadgets not really strike your fancy?
Let me know - and feel free to hit the comments if you feel like explaining yourself a bit more.
