Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Rumors,

Ben AffleckBen Affleck has hinted he is planning to pursue a career in politics.

The 40-year-old Argo star - who is tipped to win an Oscar for his performance in the critically acclaimed movie - has admitted he might be tempted to run for the US Senate in the future, despite his hugely successful careers in front of and behind the camera because he is very fond of the country's political system.

When asked if he would consider running for election, the father-of-three told CBS's Face The Nation, "One never knows. I'm not one to get into conjecture. I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country. It's a big deal for me to come down here and be on your show that I've watched so much, but I'm not going to get into speculation about my political future."

Paul McCartney's PETA adPaul McCartney believes that livestock are responsible for a large percentage of global warming. The Beatles legend - who is vegetarian - has written a letter to the Conference of the Parties (COP) climate change conference in Doha urging for the Meat Free Monday campaign to be adopted in a bid to slow down the apparent damage done by the ever-growing meat industry.

In the letter to conference leaders Ms. Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, and Mr H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, President-Designate for COP 18, he wrote, "Although more and more evidence is coming to light showing how the growth of the global meat industry is having alarming environmental consequences, the impact of the livestock sector on global warming does not as yet seem to have been acknowledged by the Conference of the Parties (COP). I therefore call upon you to bring this issue to the attention of the conference and encourage the adoption of policy and individual actions, such as a weekly meat-free day."

World Of WarcraftIn all the excitement of the 2012 election, one race has been overlooked by fans of comics, science fiction, fantasy and gaming: World of Warcraft has achieved a stunning victory, thanks to a Democrat.

Demons in the Republican Party of Maine tried to smear candidate Colleen Lachowicz as unfit for public office because of her mad gaming skills - she plays WoW as "a level-85 orc named Santiaga."

According to news reports, the Republican Party accused her of leading "a bizarre double life and set up a website revealing her participation in World of Warcraft. Not only did the site show off a picture of the orc rogue assassin character she plays, it also dug up online comments she made about her love of the (sometimes violent) game. The Republican Party also sent out mailers as well as a press release claiming her 'disturbing alter-ego' had been 'revealed.'"

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie was left in tears after visiting a Syrian refugee camp yesterday. The Salt actress - who is a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees - paid a visit to the Zaatari camp, which houses 27,000 people in Jordan, and delivered a speech portraying her "concern" at the situation there.

"I am very concerned, the world is very concerned. What is very heartbreaking is when Syrian people ask you why you think no one is able to find a solution for them. What they described on the ground, hearing it from them is so horrific. When you meet so many innocent people and civilians, the people of Syria are asking who is on their side, 'Who is going to help us as the months go on?'" she said, speaking with tears in her eyes.
