Vietnam Memorial Goes Online

Vietnam Memorial Search

Once again, we are touched by what the Internet can do. If you never made it to Washington D.C. to see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, there is now a free interactive version that debuted this week. Assembled from 6,301 images, Footnote and the National Archives and Records Administration have teamed to create the virtual piece that holds over 58,000 American casualties. You can search it by name, hometown, enlistment type, or service. You can then trace links to the vet’s service record, add photos, and post comments. Be patient, as the site says that loading will be slow due to high traffic.

Does Lindsay Lohan Have a Sex Tape?

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Movies, Videos, Oops Videos,

Lindsay Lohan, Calum best(UPDATE: Calum’s rep denied the sex tape rumors to Us Magazine.  “Sorry to disappoint you, but it’s not Calum in the tape.”  But is it Lindsay??)

It looks like DUIs have become so 5 minutes ago.  Sex tapes are now the latest trend in Hollywood.

Just a few days ago, rumors of a possible Kristin Davis sex tape ran wild across the internet.  Now a video involving our favorite girl, , may be coming to light.

According to The Sun, there is a supposedly a clip being spread online of Lindsay during her time with British TV personality Calum Best.  (The two dated last year before her stint in rehab.)  Supposedly the clip of Lohan ‘performing an act’ was taken with Calum’s cell phone.  A snippet of that video was shared with friends; a possible extended version may be leaked later.

Needless to say, Linds is reportedly freaked out by the matter.  She apparently didn’t know that she was being filmed.  (Maybe that’s why she went into rehab?)  Just last year, she was telling People that her new boyfriend was “a nice guy.”  Methinks she’ll be retracting that statement soon.

Pitchfork TVPitchfork Media is launching an online music TV channel April 7. Think of it as “YouTunes.” The site will feature mini-documentaries, music sessions, concerts, interviews, and music videos. They will also offer films, concerts, and music DVDs at no charge. With full creative control, the original site already has events, reviews, and news tidbits, and is simply moving up the technological ladder with Pitchfork.tv.

Pitchfork promises a hi-res display and will be adding personal playlists so you can save your faves. Let’s hope that the company sticks to its standards and offers music other than a monotonous Billboard Top Ten.

MoMA Features Online Exhibit

MoMA Elastic Mind

Speaking of MoMA, not only are they exhibiting the likes of AT&T and Nokia at the museum, there is an incredible display online. Combining science with design, there are over 300 concepts in Elastic Mind that are translated into physical objects. The purpose, they say, is to “combine research with attentive consideration of human limitations, habits, and aspirations.”

All we know is that spending a couple of hours on the site may not have the impact of seeing the show itself, but it certainly is worth the time. For example, in Collection for the Lonely Man, it includes the Sheet Thief, which winds up the bed clothes to the other side. Others are Cold Feet, Heavy Breather, Plate Thrower, and Hair Alarm Clock that will run hair across the user to wake him.

Chollima Offers North Korean Wares

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Hot Deals, Internet,

ChollimaIf you ever wanted to purchase something from the north side of Korea, now is your chance. The DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) has an electronic shopping mall with SUVs, bikes, roller skates, and other goodies. Available in 4 languages, Chollima, named after a mythical winged horse pictured here, has been open since December. Unfortunately, it is not always reliable as we found out when we tried this weekend when we tried to access it. Still and all, we think its a good thing when other countries participate in capitalism and hope the site doesn’t stay mythical.

Bill/HilOur latest find in silly things to do online when you should be working is the HairMixer. You simply choose two faces and swap their styles. You can also upload your own image and try on a celeb’s do or search for one on the site. Furthermore, if you are not pleased with the results, the site gives you tips and tricks to adjust the image to look more natural, or at least more amenable.
