Ashton Kutcher Stops Tweeting

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Sports,

Ashton KutcherAshton Kutcher has given up Tweeting by himself.

The Two and a Half Men actor is one of the most popular people on social networking site Twitter with over eight million followers, but after making an ill-advised comment seemingly defending NFL coach Joe Paterno - who was fired for allegedly covering up child abuse by his assistant coach - he stopped tweeting. "As of immediately I will stop tweeting until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error," he wrote last night.

Today, Ashton has come up with a solution, and from now on his thoughts will be filtered through his media team. "Up until today I have posted virtually every one of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become too big to be managed by a single individual. A collection of over 8 million followers is not to be taken for granted. I'm going to turn the management of the feed over to my team at Katalyst Media to ensure the quality of it's content. My sincere apologies to anyone who I have offended. It was a mistake that I don't think will happen again," he wrote in a blog post.

Ashton also clarified his controversial tweet, saying he had merely seen that Joe had been fired, and incorrectly presumed it was because of his age, rather than other controversies.

EndScore Report: How Good Is Eli Manning?

Eli Manning of the New York Giants on the same level as New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady? Umm, no.In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris debate the worth of New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning. Manning quickly put himself on the level of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. While Manning does own one Super Bowl title, Brady has three and is arguably the best best quarterback of his generation. Manning isn't even in the top five of NFL throwers! So, where does he belong? LISTEN to our thoughts on this!

EndScore Report: In Your Face Pippen and Goodell

Posted by Dennis Velasco Categories: Athletes, NBA, News, NFL,

Scottie Pippen says that LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan. Really, Pip?In this edition of "In Your Face," DV and Chris throw down on Scottie Pippen for his remarks last week of LeBron James being better than Michael Jordan. To paraphrase a new movie coming out, six titles is all the argument you need to say that Jordan is the best. Well, on top of everything else, like him transcending the sport of basketball like Babe Ruth for baseball. We also wag our finger at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for taking sides. Sure, he's employed by the owners, but when it comes to settling arguments between them and the players, he should at least try to be neutral to make sure there's football in the fall. LISTEN UP!

VIDEO: See Metrodome Roof Collapse from Inside Stadium

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Sports, FOX, Video,

Want to know why you didn't get to see the Minnesota Vikings play the New York Giants today? Here's the reason.

The Minneapolis area was hit with over 17 inches of snow, and the city's stadium -- which opened in 1982 -- felt the impact.

When leaks started forming on Saturday (apparently not an unusual event for the structure), the FOX Sports crew decided to leave their cameras rolling. Based on the great footage, their efforts definitely paid off.

The game will now be played Monday night at 7 p.m. ET in Detroit's Ford Field.

TV Talk: High Interest in Law & Order: LA, Low Numbers for HBO

Law & Order: Los Angeles-Which new shows are you looking forward to checking out? According to a TiVo poll, Law & Order: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0 are the most-anticipated programs of the upcoming season.

-When is an Oscar nominee not considered “famous enough”? When her name is Carey Mulligan. The Wall Street 2 star says she would love to be in Glee, but she’s apparently not recognizable enough for a cameo.

-Has HBO lost some of its appeal? Despite shows like True Blood, Entourage and Hung, the cable channel’s second quarter audience numbers were the lowest in four years. New series Boardwalk Empire begins this Sunday.

-Sunday Night Football, though, is doing just fine for NBC. This weekend’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins scored the best overnight ratings for any opener—on a Sunday or Monday—in 13 years.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson

The guys keep flocking to Jessica Simpson, despite the fact that she doesn’t brush her teeth.

The singer-and-actress started dating NFL football player Eric Johnson last month and sources say they are smitten with each other. “They are very happy,” a source close to the couple said.

Eric, who has previously played for the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints, split from his wife earlier this year and filed for divorce in February. Although she has been romantically linked to Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan, Jessica hasn’t been in a serious relationship since ex-boyfriend Tony Romo dumped her on her 29th birthday last year.
