NY Times Reader 2.0 on Adobe Air

The New York Times is offering a free application of its paper that contains a few sections such as the cover and Business Day. The Times Reader 2.0 is built on Adobe AIR, updates, keeps up to 7 days of content at a time and is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux. Subscribe for $14.95 a month for the entire paper. Those who already subscribe to the paper get free access. The Reader is a good idea for saving money on both ends (a paper subscription costs $40.00 a month) unless you get it for the crossword puzzles.

To The People Surprised By Obama’s Radicalism

It’s been a while since I posted here, but my past work is starting to seem pretty prophetic. I predicted the hard turn to the left, after President Obama pretended to be a moderate while campaigning. I also touched upon media bias, broken campaign promises, empty slogans, and radical ties, among other things.

I’m glad a small number of people are starting to open their eyes and question this administration, but why did so many people not see what I saw coming this past fall?

Hearst to Launch Newspaper e-Reader

e-ReaderPublisher Hearst Corp. is intending to come out with an electronic reader for magazines and newspapers. While media group chief Kenneth Bronfin wouldn’t give out many details, he says that it is because of an investment that the company made with E Ink, the company that supplies Amazon’s Kindle and Sony’s Reader electronic ink technology. Hearst will sell the e-readers to publishers and receive a portion of the revenue. Look for the new device, which should be about the size of a standard sheet of paper, later this year.
