Fashion Police: Rihanna Follows the Rainbow
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities,
Talk about color blocking! Famed
bold dresser Rihanna stepped out in London recently, sporting not only her current flame-red hair, but a purple crop top with orange high-waisted pants and a pair of gold platforms.
While the look may blind you right now in this season, perhaps she’s just taking an early cue from the Milan Spring/Summer 2011 shows.

VIDEO: Slash Attacked by Fan, Keeps on Playing
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Artist News, Performances, Videos,
What’s better than hearing Slash play his guitar solo on “Sweet Child O’ Mine”? Watching him continue to play it after being rushed by a fan.
On June 10, the former Guns N’ Roses musician was in the middle of a performance in Milan, Italy when he was (rudely) greeted by a surprise guest. (Cue the video to the 1:15 mark.) The good news? The shirtless jerk got a bigger piece of the floor than he did of Slash. The bad news? The rocker eventually had to have his broken Les Paul guitar replaced.
After the show, Slash addressed the incident on his own Facebook page. “Rowdy crowd for sure. But amazing! The guy who nailed me didn’t take me down but he busted my poor gtr. Ah well, it was a kick ass rock show in the 1st order!”
Milan Awards Dolce and Gabbana

Dolce and Gabbana are set to receive an award for their contribution to Milan.
The design duo - full names Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana - say they are “honored” after learning they will be given the Ambrogino D’oro, an annual award presented to citizens who have contributed meaningfully to the city.
“We are extremely honored and excited to receive this award. Milan is not only our city and where our home is, but also the place that allowed us to make our dream come true. Milan has given us a lot and we cannot be but happy that our work contributed to its well-being,” said Stefano.
The award takes its name from Milan’s patron saint, Saint Ambrogio, and is given out on the same day the saint is celebrated.
The duo are not the only designers to be recognized for their contributions to a city. Last week, Alber Elbaz’s was honoured for his cultural impact on Paris as creative director of Lanvin.
Armani LCD HDTV

Designer Giorgio Armani isn’t satisfied with a mere cell phone that features his name. He and Samsung presented his premium 120Hz full LCD HDTV at the Milan International Furniture Fair going on this week. Claiming that the inspiration came from his new 2008/09 Armani/Casa Home Furnishings Collection, the television comes in 46 and 52-inch models. Apparently his Brahms tea table was specifically designed to hold the TV. No price is available as yet, but we are still figuring out which came first, the TV or the table?
