Serena Williams Has Arm Envy

Serena Williams on the cover of her memoirSerena Williams is “sensitive” about her “thick arms.” The muscular tennis star, who has her own clothing and skin care range, struggles to find flattering outfits and wishes she looked like slim US First Lady Michelle Obama.

Serena explained: “I think my thighs are too big. But also my arms. I think they’re too muscular. They’re too thick. I’m sensitive about my arms. I know that toned arms are in now. Look at Michelle Obama. She has great arms, and I think it’s wonderful that she shows them off like that! I love her for that. I’m like, ‘Keep wearing strapless dresses!’ But I don’t like mine.”

Serena has written a memoir, called On the Line, about her tennis career, becoming a fashion designer, and the 2003 murder of her eldest sister, Yetunde.

The 27-year-old athlete, who gained 20lbs after the death of Yetunde, wants young women to accept their body shape and not feel under pressure to lose weight.

“I wanted to explain how I see things. I wanted to talk about my body and my sisters, my career, what I’ve learned, what I’m still learning. I want women to know that it’s OK. You can be whatever size you are, and you can be beautiful both inside and out. We’re always told what’s beautiful and what’s not, and that’s not right. For some reason, everyone is obsessed with weight. Are you bigger? Are you smaller? And everyone cares about that! It’s insane. Some days, I’ll be bigger. Other days, I’ll be smaller. It’s not a big deal.”

Tony Curtis Claims Marilyn Monroe Miscarried His Child

Curtis and Monroe in 'Some Like It Hot'While we uncover secrets in the wake of one icon’s shocking death, we are still uncovering mysteries regarding another icon, who passed away over 40 years ago. In a shocking revelation from his latest memoir (not so shocking), veteran actor Tony Curtis claims that not only did he have an affair with iconic actress Marilyn Monroe, but she miscarried his child.

Curtis asserts that the affair occurred when he was married to Psycho actress Janet Leigh and Monroe was wed to playwright Arthur Miller. Starting in 1950, he says that the couple were on and off, rekindling on the set of Some Like It Hot in 1958.

“When I was in bed with Marilyn I was never sure—before, during or after—where her mind was. She was an actress. She could play a part. She could give the part what she thought a man wanted. I never asked for more,” he writes.

According to him, the miscarriage took place shortly after Monroe’s husband, Miller, found out about the romance.

Tony’s memoir, The Making of Some Like It Hot, is due in stores this October.

George W. Bush Decides to Write a Memoir

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Where Are They Now?,

George W. Bush

, the forty-third president of the United States of America, will put his thoughts to paper in a new memoir. The working title of the book is Decision Points, and the AP is reporting that it should be ready for publication sometime next year.

“I want people to understand the environment in which I was making decisions,” W. said over the phone to Associated Press reporters. “I want people to get a sense of how decisions were made, and I want people to understand the options that were placed before me.”

Bush famously coined the phrase “The Decider,” a title which he gave himself in defense of his War on Terror. Evidently, the book will explain to the public just what being The Decider means - in Bush’s mind, anyway. The memoir will explore a wide range of decisions, including his vice president selection of Dick Chaney.

No financial details on the book have been released.
