Amanda Bynes Still Claims She’s Going to Sue Tabloids

Amanda Bynes on 'inTouch'All bark and no bite? Amanda Bynes recently claimed (again) that she's going to sue InTouch for publishing a false story which features supposed photos of her in a New York apartment surrounded by drugs.

Naturally, the actress went to Twitter to spew her disapproval: "I have to sue because that's not my apartment, those aren't my clothes!... [The magazine] morphed photos of my face onto someone's body to ruin my life!... I don't care enough to keep talking about it. Just assume that I f--ked the boyfriend of the editor of intouch because they f--king hate me!"

An older photo of Bynes appears on the cover of the magazine, which the former Nickelodeon star also didn't appreciate, as she's since undergone plastic surgery to amend her (supposed) facial imperfections: "I have to make a big deal of this and sue because that's not me! I care about my appearance so I have to defend myself! I look like a different person now that I had surgery."

InTouch has yet to comment about the alleged libel.

Tesla Motors suing ‘Top Gear’ for libel

Tesla suing top gear libel

Tesla Motors is suing the BBC show "Top Gear" for allegedly falsely representing the performance of one of its electric vehicles.

In a segment that aired three years ago, "Top Gear" showed a Tesla Roadster running out of electric charge during a race with the gas-powered Lotus Elise, a car that the Roadster is based on. Tesla claims that neither of the two cars it loaned to "Top Gear" for the segment dipped below 20 percent charge. The company contends there's no way the Roadster ran out of juice, and it wants the BBC to stop airing the segment.

"When 'Top Gear' reviewed the Tesla Roadster, the episode that aired contained lies and misinformation about the Roadster's performance, behavior, and reliability," Tesla said in a statement. "Tesla reluctantly took legal action after its repeated attempts to contact the BBC, over the course of months, were ignored."

A spokesperson for "Top Gear" defended the show's integrity. "We can confirm that we have received notification that Tesla have issued proceedings against the BBC. The BBC stands by the program and will be vigorously defending this claim."

UPDATE:  Nicolas Cage vs. Kathleen Turner

Kathleen Turner, Nicolas CageA while ago we told about you Nicolas Cage’s beef with his former Peggy Sue Got Married co-star.  In a new autobiography, actress Kathleen Turner claimed Cage was a bit of troublemaker around the time the two worked together.

“He caused so many problems. He was arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, once for stealing a dog. He’d come across a chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket.”

Well Cage was so irked by the accusations he had a defamation and libel suit filed in London’s High Court.  The actress’ UK publishers and Britain’s Daily Mail (a newspaper that printed an excerpt from the book) were also named in the complaint.

Kathleen Turner Talks About Nic Cage Lawsuit

Put Description HereAlthough they survived a tumultuous relationship in Peggy Sue Got Married, and may now be heading to court.  The Ghost Rider star has just filed a defamation and libel case in London’s High Court based on statements his former co-star has made.

In Turner’s new autobiography, Send Yourself Roses: Thoughts on My Life, Love, and Leading Roles, the actress alleges Cage had problems with theft and drinking during the production of their 1986 movie.  In the book, she states:

“He caused so many problems. He was arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, once for stealing a dog. He’d come across a chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket.”

Well Cage, 44, was not too pleased by those remarks (as proven by the suit) and has gone on the record denying her claims.  (I would think a quick background check would quickly settle this matter.  In fact, didn’t her book have a fact checker?)
