Earlier today we gave you a look at our iPhone 5 black & slate unboxing gallery, as well as our iPhone 5 white & silver unboxing gallery. Since then, we've received a few questions about how the new iPhone 5 compares to the iPhone 4S from a hardware design perspective, so we figured we would put together a third gallery for you. In our iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S vs. iPhone Original gallery, we give you a look at the new hardware as compared to the last model, and we also throw the orignal iPhone into the mix for added measure. Just how thin will the next iPhone be?

It's pretty much a given that Apple likes to make its products as thin as possible, and it looks like the next-generation iPhone 5 will get that same treatment. An image has been put together by Sohu that shows what the next iPhone looks like compared against the iPhone 4S and iPhone 3GS in terms of thickness. As you can see, the front and back glass don't protrude from the metal frame, making the next iPhone even thinner if the leaked design is to be believed. We'll know for sure on September 12.
