Skype 3.0 Beta for Windows Mobile is now available. You can download it on your phone or PC and transfer it later to your Windows Mobile Professional or Standard phone version 5, 6 or 6.1. After download, you can call, IM and send files with its new user interface. Compatible with Pocket PC, Classic or Professional, Smartphone and standard devices, you will need a minimum of 12MB memory on your device or 6MB on a card. A WiFi connection is recommended for best quality.

Emoji were such a hit in Japan that the emoticons are now available for everyone. The app is called Typing Genius. After you download it, you should play with it for a few minutes to activate it, then hit your settings “> General > International > Keyboards > Japanese” and click on the Emoji option. Tame Leaves a Message

This concept could be the answer to our complaining about cell phone users in cars. Tame syncs your phone, IM, text messaging, Facebook application, etc. to auto-respond when you cannot. You store a message on each face and rotate it for the appropriate response with no button pushing needed. There is also a color coding system (green, yellow, and red) for contact information. With online software, you can customize the messages anywhere there is Internet access with Bluetooth updates. We like the prototype but once again figure the best way to curb cell phone usage while driving is to simply turn it off.
