Prince Harry Wants to be a Reggae DJ

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Child Stars, Rumors,

Prince HarryBritain's Prince Harry wants to become a reggae music DJ, according to his friends.

The 27-year-old royal has been inspired to get behind the decks and play music from the genre ever since he visited Jamaica in March and met Rita Marley, the widow of music legend Bob Marley, who died in May 1981.

"Harry has always been interested in music, but Jamaica was a real eye opener. He started looking into reggae as soon as he got back to the UK. Meeting Rita Marley was a great inspiration too. She seems to have had a big impact on him," a source told The Sun.

Harry has been increasing his music collection by purchasing reggae on vinyl from specialist online stores and he is thought to be hoping to get good enough at mixing records at parties, although he is "unlikely" to ever be able to show off his newfound skills in public. "He's unlikely to ever DJ in public -- but if he did it'd be the party of the year," the source said.

Avril Lavigne Uses Food to Forget Pop

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Alternative, Pop,

Avril LavigneAvril Lavigne cooks to forget the pressures of her music career. The 27-year-old singer's favorite ways to relax and take her mind off her pop star lifestyle are spending time in her kitchen making food for other people and channeling her creativity into painting.

"I love to paint huge abstract canvases and hang them up in my house. I don't watch much TV but I love to cook. I cook as much as I can. When I'm home I cook all the time and when I'm on tour I cook for my band on the bus. It makes me happy."

When she is cooking, Avril loves to accompany her food with a glass of red wine, and there is a particular bottle she is desperate to try, but thinks it is too expensive: "I like to drink red wine. One bottle of wine I'd love to try is Californian red Screaming Eagle. The problem is it costs $5,000."

Despite her quiet habits, Avril insists she is still a "rock star." She added, "Put it this way, there's a reason why I tattooed 'f**k' on my ribcage. It is and always will be one of my favorite words. Seriously. I am a rock star. F**k it."
