Randy Jackson has been hospitalized with a suspected mild heart attack.
The 48-year-old singer - who is the brother of the late Michael Jackson - was taken to the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena yesterday and is said to be awaiting test results.
“It appears Randy has had a mild heart attack but he is OK. He was joking around with his father and he is feeling pretty good all things considered. He’s been under a tremendous amount of stress lately but Randy’s a fighter. He’ll pull through,” a source said.
Randy is believed to have been working on arrangements for a memorial service for his late brother Michael, who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June last year. On Monday, Randy attended a Los Angeles courthouse with family including sister Janet Jackson for a hearing into the involuntary manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray, the man accused of being involved in the icon’s death.
The star has also been playing a key role in arranging plans to allow fans to enter Forest Lawn Memorial Park - where Michael is buried - to pay tribute to the King of Pop on the anniversary of his death later this month.

Sunday’s Plan for Meet the Press
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: NBC, News,
Although plans for Meet the Press’ future is still unclear, NBC has announced how it will address Tim Russert’s recent passing on tomorrow’s show.
This Sunday, veteran journalist Tom Brokaw will make another special appearance to helm the weekly program. (The former Nightly News anchor was also the one who informed the viewers Friday about his colleague’s death.) During the Father’s Day edition, Brokaw will spend the hour paying tribute to the highly-respected political analyst.
On a side note, Russert’s personal physician, Dr. Michael Newman, confirmed that his patient died as a result of a heart attack. Ironically, the 58-year-old - who was known “to have asymptomatic coronary artery disease” - reportedly passed a stress test back in April and even worked out on a treadmill earlier Friday morning.

A horrible tragedy has forced Showtime’s Natascha McEhlone to abruptly leave the set of Californication. The 38-year-old actress, who is pregnant with her third child, was working in Los Angeles when she found out her husband had passed away.
Martin Kelly, 42, was apparently found last night in the doorway of their London home. It appears the “plastic surgeon to the stars” may have suffered a heart attack. This tragic event sadly comes one day after the couple celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary.
McElhone (Solaris, The Truman Show) is currently en route to England with the couple’s other two sons.
