If you dug the old NES game PunchOut, then you will surely like “kirton’s” interface. He took a foam filled bag with impact sensors then wired them to a PC game pad. This transfers the impact of the game through an NES emulator. The software also includes visual feedback as the sprite turns pink when hit and an LED indicator flashes. MedicalPhone recently debuted their iCEphone, so named because of a dedicated emergency button that sends the GPS location to emergency services. The cellie runs on Windows Mobile 6.0 Pro, and has a 3.1 megapixel cam with autofocus and LED flash. At a size of 5 x 2.4 x .9-inches, it has a QWERTY keyboard, 3-inch touchscreen and gaming keypad. Expect 5 hours of talk time and 3 days of standby. Targeted for the military and governmental use, look for it to formally come out in Q2 next year with a price of around $1,000.00.
