Patrick Stewart eats his first slice of pizza at 72-years old

You and Sir Patrick Stewart now have another thing in common if you've ever eaten a slice of pizza. Yesterday, the man who played Captain Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation admitted on Twitter that he was in the midst of enjoying his first ever pizza slice:
"But nevertheless, this was my first slice of pizza, which I was only eating because my fiancée and I were a little hung-over yesterday morning and she said what we need is pizza and a soothing drink — and she was right. It solved the problem. But, in fact, it was my first slice, and when it was brought over to me, my first comment was 'There's no knife and fork.' Of course, I was mocked for thinking that I could eat a pizza slice with a knife and fork."
Since he grew up in a small town in northern England, Stewart wasn't exposed to pizza much. Not much of an excuse, but Stewart does admit that he has eaten pizza in the past, but they were full pies eaten with knife and fork.

The plastic-bodied Rocket camera has a wide-angle frame that exposes the film all the way to the edges, out past the sprocket holes. It also lets you rewind the film for those cool double exposures. 20,000 film scenes now available on YouTube

Google's YouTube has signed a deal with MovieClips.com to apparently replace the thousands of movie clips users have uploaded with authentic, licensed replacements.
The more than 20,000 licensed movie clips may be found at YouTube MovieClips, a partnership with the MovieClips.com site.
Using the company's proprietary technology, a team of Content Curators assigns up to 1,000 points of relevant data points to every scene relating to everything from action to mood to setting, and prop, the site said. "Our goal is to promote the discovery of movies," said MovieClips co-founder Richard Raddon, in a statement. "By making our clips accessible on the biggest video platform on the web, we unlock the power of movie clips to promote feature film purchase and rental."
What this means, then, is that users can search for "say hello to my little friend" and either see a number of clips on YouTube itself or the licensed, HD version of the climactic, violent conclusion to the Al Pacino classic, Scarface. It's worth noting that the clips on YouTube are just a few seconds long, while the Movieclips.com clip is 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

Brandon Routh Is Dylan Dog: Comic Book Movie

So who’s going to win the big summer comic book movie sweepstakes? Will it be Marvel’s Thor? DC’s Green Lantern? Cowboys & Aliens?
You might not know it, but there’s another comic book based movie coming out and it’s opening this Friday, April 29th.
Dylan Dog: Dead Of Night.
It’s based on an Italian comic book series created by writer Tiziano Sclavi back in 1986. The series claims nearly 60 million readers worldwide, though almost none of them are in the U.S. The series was reprinted by Dark Horse in 7 volumes between 1999-2002.
The movie is set in New Orleans where Dylan is an investigator of the undead. Brandon Routh from Superman Returns plays Dylan, and the supporting cast includes Taye Diggs and Peter Stormare (so great in Fargo).

Yu-Gi-Oh! Free Comic Book Day

Did you know that there’s a new Yu-Gi-Oh! movie coming out? Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time is scheduled to debut on February 26 in 300 digital US theaters.
For those in the know, this marks the 10th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! Those who drop into the theater to see it big-screen will “receive a promotional Malefic Red Eyes Black Dragon card along with a mini-manga from Viz Media.”
It’s like Free Comic Book Day at the movie theater. You’ll find a way to locate your nearest theater at the link.

Black Swan Expected to Influence Spring Fashion

Prepare yourself for a bombardment of tutus, feathers, and knits -- Rodarte fans are swooning everywhere! It's bad enough that people are clocking in more hours at the gym because of Black Swan, but now clothing designers are banking on the film's popularity in hopes that consumers will flock to their stores, too.
Costume designer Amy Westcott worked with Rodarte duo Kate and Laura Mulleavy in bringing the gothic fairytale looks to life. "We had an affinity for the subject matter," Kate said. She added that it helped her understand the "darker nature and twisted kind of underbelly" of the ballet world.
Lagerfeld's Spring/Summer 2011 collection already reflects a feminine-with-a-dash-of-darkness theme, complete with dark eye makeup, sheer materials, and jeweled fabrics. BCBG Max Azria and Lipsy of London are due to sell tutus come this Spring.
Amidst this dance craze, let's not forget that there's always American Apparel.

Nick Knight Unveils His Alexander McQueen Tribute

Famed fashion photographer Nick Knight created the most dramatic and haunting tribute to date in honor of the late Alexander McQueen. Presented at the British Fashion Awards (where McQueen was posthumously awarded Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design), the short film features music by Bjork and the styling talents of Edward Enninful.
"We felt it was important to have the clothes featured one last time on flesh and blood before the [Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art] takes them away," Knight said.
And what an imaginative, beautiful way for the clothes' last show -- check out the video above.

Mulleavy Sisters Guest Edit Lula Issue, Style Kirsten Dunst

Despite the high pressure demands of designing their Rodarte line, Kate and Laura Mulleavy somehow managed to both design costumes for Black Swan and guest edit next month's issue of Lula!
In the Fall/Winter 2010 issue -- on newsstands now -- the creative duo styled a Kirsten Dunst editorial shot by their friend Autumn de Wilde, designed Charlotte Gainsbourg's cover dress, and cajoled Tavi Gevinson and Sofia Coppola to contribute to the fashion mag.
The magazine also includes behind-the-scenes shots of Natalie Portman in Black Swan designs, which show more of the intricacies the sisters are known for that were lost somewhat in the film. Nan Goldin shoots the main editorial featuring Gainsbourg, which was styled by Leith Clark.
All in all, the few previews of the magazine that are out (seen after the jump) are sure to please any Rodarte/Mulleavy fan (or anyone who adores fashion, anyway!).
