Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix trailer

Let’s hope this is a sign that the game is close to release (hey, they said November!). Above you’ll find the trailer for Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. While the music isn’t quite what we would think would get people pumped for the game, you can’t say that the graphics aren’t off the hook. This one will be available on Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Store later this month. Who’s with me on picking this one up the day it becomes available?

Soulcalibur IV review

Soulcalibur IV

Here I am, about seven weeks after the launch of Soul Calibur IV, finally getting to bring you guys our thoughts on the game. Before we jump in, a bit of background on Soul Calibur IV. The game hit and on July 29 here in North America, followed by a release in Japan, Europe, and Australia on July 31, and then finally the UK on August 1.This is the fourth installment in the Soulcalibur series, and it features a Story mode, as well as Arcade, Training, Museum, and Tower of Lost Souls modes. That last one is new to the series, and rewards you, as the fighter, for winning special battles. Also new to the series is the inclusion of a few characters from the Star Wars universe - namely, Darth Vader, Yoda, and the Apprentice.

The game comes just about three years after the release of Soulcalibur III back in 2005, and is the first Soulcalibur title to feature online play. Now, on to our review.

Angelina Jolie Will Shoot You If She Has To

Angelina Jolie

‘s not just beautiful—she’s potentially deadly too.

While she may be a humanitarian with four children (six, if you count the unborn twins), the star says she’s not afraid to shoot you. The mama bear, who has seen a lot of weapons training during her career, told the Daily Mail she’d be more than willing to use her skills if forced to.

“I bought original, real guns of the type we used in Tomb Raider for security. Brad and I are not against having a gun in the house, and we do have one. And yes, I’d be able to use it if I had to. I could handle myself. I think there are certain combat skills that would come out. I tend to want to throw an elbow. I don’t know why. I’ve learned all the punches, head butts and kicks – yet getting someone with my elbow is my first instinct.”

Behind the scenes of Sex and the City

Sex & the City Sex & the City left HBO when the series was still highly popular, at the top of its game. When any successful show leaves the air, it causes questions…and confusion for fans who are left wanting more. It wasn’t until after the Sex was all over that the rumors surfaced and the interviews began. Reportedly, the series ended because of star squabbling - namely, Kim Cattrall. The actress who was loved on the small screen as Samantha Jones allegedly wanted to receive the same amount of pay as the show’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker (a.k.a. Carrie Bradshaw). And that’s when everything fell apart. The series ended amid much hype, HBO tributes, and tons of press. But even then, there were whispers that there might be more Sex to come.

Until that, too, fell apart. Again, it was reported that the Sex & the City movie’s progress was stymied by Kim Cattrall, who refused to do the project. And millions of women were disappointed. Three years after the final farewell, the Sexy movie is back on – with, yes, all four leading ladies as part of the cast. But has time softened the hard feelings that plagued the series? According to on-set reports, no.

R/C Jousting Knights: En Guarde!

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Misc. Tech, Toys,

Jousting KnightsNo boring car drag races for our crew, as we would rather joust with R/C knights. The toys work just like the real articles as you knock off your opponent’s little equestrian warrior before he/she gets yours. Set them up on opposite sides of the room and let them go at it. It won’t hurt his horseman, but if you are lucky it will bruise its controller’s ego tremendously. Available at Gadgets.dk for DKK 279,00 (~$51.00.)

Countdown To New Super Smash Bros. Website

Posted by Chris Pereira Categories: Fighting, Internet, Nintendo, Rumors, Wii,

Super Smash Bros. Brawl SnakeNo, not a countdown to the release of the game. The official Super Smash Bros. Brawl website has been updated with a countdown to the launch of a new official game website. Next week we’ll see its unveiling and hopefully, in the process, learn some new information about the game. Maybe some screenshots, character lists, or (crosses fingers) word on online play? Given that we’ve heard next to nothing about Brawl, any tidbit will undoubtedly be drooled over by Wii owners dying for the next big thing.

Be sure to keep your eyes open for the release of the website.
