Direct Note Access Separates Chords

Programmer Peter Neubäcker has developed Direct Note Access, software that can allow computers to analyze digitized chords and separate them into individual notes. While it was already possible to manipulate pitch, tempo and other aspects of music, this is the the first time that a single chord can be dissected. The former German guitar maker’s software can help musicians and engineers correct notes that are out of tune as well as unreleased classic music that was recorded on out-of-tune instruments.

ReadyBot Does Dishes

Why settle for a simple Scooba to wash your floors when you can get a ReadyBot to clean your entire kitchen? The prototype loads your dishwasher, cleans up the mess on your counter, and even takes care of leftovers. Created by a group of engineers from Silicon Valley, the team hopes to have them on the market in approximately two years. They also say that being made of commonly available parts, the bot will be affordable for us common folk. We say, “Sign us up.”
