BeBook Mini eReader now available for $199

BeBook Mini ereaderIt would appear that the ebook reader competition is now heating up as Endless Ideas’ has just launched their BeBook Mini in the United States.  It has a price tag of $199, and a 5-inch display.  Unfortunately, there is no wireless connectivity, and so you’ll have to download via for content. However, it probably is one of the cheapest ereaders around.

IREX DR800SG e-book reader set for October launch

A new e-book reader is set to enter the market as IREX announced that their 8.1 inch display version is planned for an October release. Like , IREX is partnering with Barnes and Noble for the digital catalog, and teaming with Verizon for the wireless downloads.  IREX has also partnering to sell its e-readers (model number DR800SG) to Best Buy stores nationwide for a price of $399.  This price include 2GB of built-in memory, leather cover, and user-replaceable battery.

Amazon Kindle saleHey, would you look at that - the is back on sale for the first time in months! If you’ve got $399 USD burning a hold in your pocket, and you want what we consider to be one of the breakout devices in the last year, then head on over to Amazon and purchase a Kindle. Seriously, all quirks aside, we’ve done a lot more (offline) reading in the past four months than we have in the past four years, all thanks to Amazon’s e-Book reader.

We expect these to go quickly though, so if you want one, act quickly.
