Maria Shriver Purchases Driver Instead of Bluetooth

After his wife Maria Shriver’s illegal cell phone usage on the road was publicly called out by TMZ, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger quickly responded on his Twitter, “Thanks for bringing her violations to my attention. There’s going to be swift action.”

Who knew that “swift action” meant hiring a driver instead of simply buying a bluetooth! Well, at least that’s one less unemployed person in the state—well done, Governator.

Old Man Mark Ronson

Music producer Mark Ronson T-shirt avoider Mark Ronson has the spirit of an 80-year-old man.

The 34-year-old music producer rented a Cadillac car when he first passed his driving test, but admits that his choice of vehicle could have been more daring.

“When I got my license I leased a Cadillac, because my inner driving spirit is that of an 80-year-old man. You always see old people in America driving them really slowly because they’re so uncomfortable. It’s like being in a hovercraft.”

Mark also revealed he is scared of performing live because he fears people will shout expletives at him if he messes up: “All I expect is for someone to yell out, ‘You’re a f***ing w****r!’ You do have that fear, it comes from the same place that makes me shake uncontrollably before I go on stage. I think it’s partly nerves, but it’s partly what keeps you on your toes.”

Although Mark has dated a string of beautiful women, including British model Daisy Lowe, he doubts his ability to seduce females that he finds attractive.

He told Esquire: “I’ve never been the kind of person out on the prowl bedding different girls every night. I went through a two-week phase, but it was really awful. The “man about town” thing is so cliched—I’d hate to think that I was subscribing to any idea of what someone in my position should be like. There’s also the slight problem that the type of girl I go for would be way less likely to like me because I’m Mark Ronson. They’d much rather be talking to a Klaxon in the corner.”

Pacific Rift Game Update and new Free DLC available for MotorStorm

Starting this Thrusday, May 14th, the PlayStation Store will have an exclusive vechicle livery pack available to download every week during the next 8 weeks for the off-road racing game, MotorStorm. These free liveries will features new paint jobs for three vehicles, and the full set will give MotorStorm: Pacific Rift players a cutting-edge new look for every single vehicle class in the game: Mudpluggers, Quad Bikes, Monster Trucks, Rally Cars and more.

Update? Yup, that too. Game Update #2 was just released, and provides a number of useful fixes and updates for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. These include:

Sugar Rush short-cut removed – The short-cut to the left of the “keep right” arrows going into the sugar field was not intentionally included and has been removed
Sugar Rush respawn point fixed – Crashing at a certain point on the track no longer respawns the vehicle in a generous position
Inclusion of Microbadges

Boy Tries To Drive After Playing Video Games

GTA A 6 year-old boy in Virginia missed his school bus so he decided to take his parents’ car to school. During his time behind the wheel, he passed some cars, made a couple of 90º turns and ran off the road a few times. He eventually crashed after driving almost 6 miles, but suffered only minor injuries. His parents were then charged with child endangerment when it was found that his mom was asleep during the incident. The funny part of the story was that he told police he learned to drive while playing Grand Theft Auto and Monster Truck Jam. What we want to know is why the a kid that old would want to get to school so badly, although he claims it was for breakfast and PE class.

Text Messaging While Driving Verboten in CA

The Governator signed a bill in July that requires Californians to use hands free devices when driving and using a cell phone. He has now gone one step further by banning text messaging while driving. The SB28 makes drivers keep their “hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road,” Schwarzenegger said in a written statement. Other states have already adopted the law and considering the statistics about how dangerous the practice is, we hope they all do.

Cycling Speed -Vest

The Speed-Vest is considered by its designers mykle Systems Lab as a cycling “safety device and advocacy tool.” It displays the user’s current speed in bright lights for about 6 hours with a AA battery. The clothing recently won a local contest in Minneapolis. We see a couple of things wrong here, no offense. First off, how distracting would that be to drivers behind? And second, it wouldn’t do much good if the cyclist didn’t know how fast he/she was going. We think this traveling sign needs a bit more work before hitting major markets.

Shia LaBeouf shows off his injured rest whilst on a smoke break

After spending a few days cooped up at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Shia LaBeouf has finally left his confines for a smoke break, which was more than enough for the paparazzi to snag a few photos of him post-surgery.

Hollywood’s leading man has been quite the center of attention since he and his costar Isabel Lucas were involved in an accident early Sunday morning.

Shia LaBeouf’s Passenger Isn’t Dating Shia

Isabel Lucas may be in a bit of trouble as well By the looks of it, Shia LaBeouf’s DUI charges may not be the last of his problems concerning this accident.

Days have gone by with all of us wondering who was in the passenger’s seat? Well, turns out it’s his Transformers 2 costar Isabel Lucas. The problem is that Lucas isn’t dating Shia—she’s dating Entourage star Adrian Grenier!

Lucas, who has been dating Grenier since February, may be in a bit of a relationship difficulty, considering sources are saying Grenier isn’t happy with the fact that his girlfriend was out partying with her gorgeous costar in the wee hours of the Hollywood morning. When asked to comment on how Lucas was feeling post-crash, Grenier became a bit quick-tempered and refused to comment.

It may have been a slightly bad call on Isabel’s part, seeing as her “friend” has a misdemeanor on his hands for drunk driving.

Tank We know that every time we show you military gadgets you want to play with them, too. So in an effort to keep our readers happy, we have found you the ultimate vacation, a Tank Driving lesson. You and your instructor can play with an Abbott tracked gun, an Armored Personnel Carrier or a six-wheeled Stalwart for about 2 hours. There is a slight catch. You have to be between 5 ft. and 6 ft. 4-inches, weigh less than 252 lbs., and be at least 17 years of age. The cost for the lesson is £175.00 (~$343.00.)

Tame Leaves a Message

Tame This concept could be the answer to our complaining about cell phone users in cars. Tame syncs your phone, IM, text messaging, Facebook application, etc. to auto-respond when you cannot. You store a message on each face and rotate it for the appropriate response with no button pushing needed. There is also a color coding system (green, yellow, and red) for contact information. With online software, you can customize the messages anywhere there is Internet access with Bluetooth updates. We like the prototype but once again figure the best way to curb cell phone usage while driving is to simply turn it off.
