Pacemaker is Portable Jocking System
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Handhelds, Misc. Tech, Music

The Pacemaker can turn anyone into a portable DJ, or at least will give that impression. The black handheld device has a 120 GB hard drive inside the system that they describe as “peanut butter and jelly sandwich size.” It has the ability to preview tracks, adjust speed, split and cut loops, alter levels, add special effects, and more. One side has a color display and the other a touchpad, and it will support almost any audio files. The Pacemaker comes with software for mixing and will save the results automatically. Both PC and Mac compatible, the included charger allows 7 hours of use or 20 hours of listen time. The device will be available December in Europe and early next year in the U.S. for €520 (~$743.00,) which will give you plenty of time to save up for the purchase.

DJ Robot Delegated to Receptionist Duties
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Corporate News, Misc. Tech, Science
Toyota created DJ Robot to be a part of their robotic band, which included a trombone, tuba, French horn, and percussionist that entertained at the Aichi World Expo in 2005. Bleeding Edge TV 135: Belkin Shows Off The TuneStudio for iPod
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gizmatic, Short Bytes, Accessories, Apple, CES, CES 2007, Features, Music, PC / Laptop, Peripherals, Portable Audio / Video, Videocasts
Belkin has just released details on their TuneStudio for iPod. This thing is fairly amazing. It’s a portable mixer that records directly to an iPod, and connects to a computer as well. If you are a DJ, or even a podcaster, this thing is awesome. Imagine having four inputs all recording directly into your iPod for immediate playback - even better, throw in a computer, and that gives you an extra output to work with, and it’s program independent. It works with both Macs and PCs, and will run for $179 when it launches in Summer 2007.
