Written by Jeff Potter, the book not only includes great tasting recipes, but it focuses on the science of cooking, and includes a bunch of kitchen hacks to actually teach cooking instead of just recipes to follow. Look out, Rachael Ray—Jennifer Aniston plans to launch her own range of cookbooks.
The Bounty star - who is good friends with the British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver - is apparently keen to team up with him and create a tome containing her recipes. The 40-year-old actress - who first met Jamie when she flew him to Los Angeles to cook a surprise 40th birthday dinner party for her then-husband Brad Pitt - corresponds regularly with the TV cook and he has managed to convince her that she’s got what it takes to write cookbooks based on her talent and sense of style.
A source revealed, “Jennifer prides herself on planning dinner parties for friends - and has dozens of recipes she’s come up with on her own. They are always emailing each other. He sends her new recipes to try and she shares some of her favorite with him. Jen especially loves fish and chicken dishes and pasta.”
The Hollywood actress recently splashed out $100,000 to transform the kitchen of her Beverly Hills home.

Five years after her death, Julia Child is once again making news on film, television…and print.
Thanks to last weekend’s release of Julie & Julia, the famed chef’s cookbook has received a boost in popularity. Mastering the Art of French Cooking, originally published in 1961, has now been at or near the top of both Amazon and Barnes and Nobles’ best-seller lists.
In the movie, Amy Adams’ character, Julie Powell, attempts to create all of Mastering’s 524 recipes. Powell’s year-long journey became the basis for her own book, Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen. (That memoir - since retitled Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously - currently ranks #38 on Amazon.)

Jessica Simpson a Wife of a Cowboy?

Looking to try some new recipes in 2009? Then the 2008 Cowboys Family Cookbook might be right up your alley.
For just $25, you can own suggestions submitted by “the Wives of the Dallas Cowboys”—and two from Jessica Simpson.
Despite the misleading title, the book’s organizer, Happy Hills Farm Academy/Home, says contributions were not limited to those who actually had a ring on their finger. “We just work with whomever they’re currently living with,” founder Ed Shipman told the NY Daily News. “There’s probably a third of the women that are in there that are considered significant others.”
If you’re interested in purchasing a copy of the book (proceeds help pay for the daily care of at-risk children), you can find more information here. Otherwise, you can simply check out what Tony Romo’s “significant other” shared after the jump.
