Robert Pattinson Targets Himself

Robert Pattinson on the cover of GQ magazineSo what do you do when you’re Robert Pattinson, and you have one of the most attractive, beautiful faces on this planet? How about throwing some darts at it!

The Twilight star is so sick of seeing his photograph in magazines and newspapers (oh poor him), he stuck an image on the wall of his trailer and invited his co-stars to throw darts at it.

A source on the set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon told the National Enquirer magazine, “Robert got a magazine cover with a picture of his face on it and pinned it to a dartboard that was in his trailer. He took shots at it and asked everyone else to do the same.”

Robert, 23, is finding his newfound fame increasingly difficult to cope with, and has confessed he came close to “losing it” earlier this year: “I was getting really paranoid. But then I realiszd that if tomorrow I say, ‘OK, I’ve had enough we’re stopping everything,’ it won’t change anything. Might as well try to accept it and stay Zen as I have no control over it. It’s not always easy. But whining won’t change anything.”

Unhappy Singer Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis

Leona Lewis wishes she could “just sing” and forget about red carpets and promotional tours.

The “Happy” singer sometimes dreams about throwing away her celebrity lifestyle for a more normal existence, but will put up with almost anything if it will “help people.”

“I definitely have moments when I come home and shut the door and think that all I want to do is sing. But then I think, wait a minute—how are people going to hear my music? The bottom line is that if I can inspire, create awareness and help someone or an animal in any way, then it’s all been worth it.”

Celebrity Double-Take: Leslie Bibb vs. Maggie Grace

Separated at birth? Leslie Bibb and Maggie Grace

For today’s installment, we have Iron Man actress Leslie Bibb on the left and Lost cutie Maggie Grace.

I mean, am I the only one who watched Wristcutters: A Love Story and mistook Leslie Bibb for her long lost sister, Maggie Grace?

(Make sure to check out more of our Celebrity Double-Takes here, here and here.)

Stars Promoting Products

Kelly Ripa

Okay, I understand why celebrities promote different products.  I mean, being a superstar doesn’t pay all that much, so they have to supplement their income somehow, right?  But I think it’s kind of obnoxious for them to think that just because they hold up a can of Pepsi for 30 seconds I’m going to go out and buy it.

Athletes that do product endorsements most likely use the sneaker they are hawking, but honestly do you think that Kelly Ripa does her own laundry? In all fairness, there is a possibility that she does; afterall, the woman has the stamina of the Energizer Bunny.  But, I know if I had her income and Mark Consuelos as my husband, I would not be spending ANY time in the laundry room.

It seems that I can’t turn the TV on without some beautiful singer/actor telling me I could be gorgeous and stress free if I only used this mascara or that foundation.  And you know what?  It ticks me off to no end.  How do I know that they actually use these products?  I can’t picture Queen Latifah walking into her local Target to pick up the latest Maybelline lipstick.

And don’t even get me going on the numerous long maned sirens touting their “favorite” hair dye.  Am I supposed to believe that Eva Longoria or Penelope Cruz sit at home on a Saturday night in a ratty old T-shirt and sweat pants, waiting the required 10 or 20 minutes praying that they don’t get any dye on the couch or the phone?  No freakin’ way. You want me to buy your hair dye because it looks so gorgeous on Eva?  Then go to her house and tape her dying her own hair.  My bet is her luscious locks are courtesy of Antoine or Serge at L.A. High Priced Hair Cuts.

NBC Lines Up Another Celeb-Reality Show

NBC trying its hardest to find that special celeb-realityBecause we can apparently never have enough celebrity reality shows, NBC is currently developing yet another one.

Realizing that perhaps the very out there circus atmosphere was not their forté, producers have opted to focus on resorting to what they do best: partying!

Well, okay, maybe not the Paris Hilton kind of party, but the more formal kind. A typical episode for Celebrity Come Dine With Me will feature one celebrity who hosts a dinner party for his or her famous friends. At the end of the night, the party will be judged on presentation, food, and entertainment value.

Sounds kind of lame to you, too, right? I mean, I love watching celebrities, but watching them eat and be entertained doesn’t interest me all too much. I say that knowing that the show has found “success” in 16 other countries.

People Pays Brangelina $14 Million for Twin Pics

People and Hello! shell out $14 million for Brangelina's baby pics

After leaving Brangelina fans on the edge of their seats (myself included) for weeks without seeing their twins, the couple have decided that it is finally time to introduce them to the world.

Much to no one’s surprise, People magazine won the bidding rights to the twins’ photo shoot in the U.S. and Canada, and Hello! magazine won the international rights. Although there has been no official release as to the amount, sources have claimed the figure is around $14 million.

Compared to previous biddings on babies like their older sister Shiloh ($4 million) and Jennifer Lopez’s twins ($6 million), the Jolie-Pitt twins have definitely set a new record for costing a magazine so much.

Matthew McConaughey Sports Brown Bag

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Movies, Style, Paparazzi Photos,

Matthew sports his man bag proudlyTexan cutie Matthew McConaughey, who apparently has no shame or fear of tarnishing a masculine image (i.e. his long, shirtless runs on the beach with “best friend” Lance Armstrong), has now pranced about Los Angeles whilst wearing a cute, feminine brown bag!

Then again, he may very well be leading a revolution for men everywhere. They need bags, too… right? He looks as if he’s fairly enjoying his accessory, too. In fact, I’m actually starting to think that it may have been one of Penelope’s bags she may have left by accident! Either way, I can’t remember seeing anyone since Ryan Reynolds or Jack Bauer with a man bag—they’re nearly extinct!

CES 2008: Celebs Make Token Appearances

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: CES, CES 2008, Editorial, Music,

DescriptionSo we are checking out the celeb appearances at the CES this year and we were wondering. Do true geeks watch football and want to catch an appearance by Daryl Johnston or Howie Long? Could they sit through an hour of Yoko Ono? Do they want to find out if Kevin Costner can actually sing? Do they dig that Mary J. Blige is more of a poet than an entertainer? And finally, will they respond to Peter Frampton now that he has no hair? We don’t know for sure, but their managers sure seemed to think so when they booked them.

Illeana DouglasFinally… there’s a show that promises to showcase celebrity junk! Where do I sign up? When it comes to celebrities, I must know everything—so why not see their junk too? is the network to pull it off, with their upcoming series , created and hosted by . Do celebs really have garage sales? Well, I can recall Whitney Houston sold a bunch of her junk and didn’t too? Douglas will uncover the best celeb garage sales in this unscripted pilot—well, at least her celeb friends anyway, which in the pilot is . Eh, maybe not such an interesting star for the pilot episode, but the proceeds of the garage sale (and in his case he raised $5,000) goes to charity. According to Douglas, “I’ve always been a garage sale fanatic, but the fun of a celebrity garage sale is that their throwaways become someone else’s collectables—like an to the stars.” I’ve always thought Illeana Douglas was okay, but her short web series Illeanarama was a riot. I think she’s got the right amount of spunk to pull off Celebrity Garage Sale. She has most recently been seen in .
