President Barack Obama thinks Anne Hathaway "was the best thing" in The Dark Knight Rises.
He spoke about the film during a campaign fundraiser at producer Harvey Weinstein's Connecticut home on Monday. The political leader said that Anne was "spectacular" in the film.
"I got a chance to see Batman, and she was the best thing in it. That's just my personal opinion," he said.
Anne, who laughed at Obama's flattery, was in attendance as one of the evening's co-hosts, along with Joanne Woodward, Aaron Sorkin and Weinstein. Also at the $35,800-per-plate dinner was Jerry Springer and American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Anne Hathaway enjoyed beating up men "a little too much" in The Dark Knight Rises.
The 29-year-old actress plays Catwoman in the Batman movie, and she loved grappling with guys in a more action-packed role than she usually takes on.
"Being in the movie was fun because I had to learn to beat up guys - I enjoyed that a little too much," she said,
speaking at the European premiere of The Dark Knight Rises at London's Leicester Square last night.
Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the third movie in Christopher Nolan's trilogy, and Anne found the 38-year-old star "really inspiring" to act alongside: "The first minute you work with Christian Bale it's just amazing. I found him to be really inspiring. It was really great to work with him."
The brunette beauty looked stunning in a white designer dress beaded with silver sequinned flowers at the premiere, and she admitted she loved wearing her skin-tight cat-suit in the blockbuster.

Michelle Pfeiffer Would Return to Catwoman

Michelle Pfeiffer would be open to playing Catwoman again.
The 54-year-old actress portrayed the sexy supervillain in 1992 movie Batman Returns and enjoyed tackling the role, though she thinks it is "unlikely" she will asked to play the character again in the future.
"Probably, if they asked me. It's unlikely that they're going to ask me," she said when asked if she would reprise her role.
The Dark Shadows actress would hope for a more comfortable costume if she ever did return to the role, admitting the tight-fitting catsuit would become "vacuum packed."
"It was probably really unhealthy and it would literally just start to squeeze my skin. I was only allowed to wear it for so many hours," she added to E! News.

Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman Transformation
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Warner Bros, Action, Adaptation, Drama, Mystery, Sequels, Thrillers, Celeb News, Upcoming Releases,
Anne Hathaway had to "physically transform" to play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises.
The One Day actress is the latest in a long line of stars including Eartha Kitt and Michelle Pfeiffer to play the formidable character in the forthcoming Christopher Nolan-directed sequel, and she admits it was tough to get into shape to fit into the famous suits she wears.
"I had to physically transform. Chris sat me down at the beginning and said, 'Joseph Gordon-Levitt did all his own fighting in Inception. That one zero-gravity fight. He trained for two months.' I basically left his office and went to the gym and just came out about five minutes ago," she said.
Commenting on the character, who is also known as Selena Kyle, Chris claims she represents an "underlying" sense of darkness in the film, which is the last he will direct. "She has a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about, which implies an underlying darkness," he told Entertainment Weekly.

Quote of the Day: Halle Berry on Doing that Cat Role
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip,
“Everybody talks about the Oscar curse. People win Oscars, and then it seems like they fall off the planet. And that’s partly because a huge expectation walks in the room and sits right down on top of your head. The moment I won the Oscar, I felt the teardown the very next day. I thought, If I’m going down, I’m going down taking chances and daring to risk. Hence…Catwoman.”
-Academy Award winner Halle Berry trying to explain why movies likes Catwoman came after Monster’s Ball.
