Belkin has a new group of cases for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. The ergonomic Grips, at $29.99, have a thick layer of silicone and textured designs. Other models include the Vector Duo at $19.99 and the Ergo and two-toned Vector for $29.99. All allow for charging while the phone is inside. The company also has new Leather cases for $29.99 and BodyGuard cases for $29.99 and $34.99. Some are available now while others are expected next month.

Speck has announced their new SeeThru and Fitted cases for the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. The fabric-covered, form-fit hard shell covers with rubber feet are available in several styles and colors and protect your Mac against dirt, bumps, and bruises. As with most of Speck products, the covers are snap-on and off with access to keyboard, drive and ports. Each will carry a price of $69.95 to $99.95 and the company says they will add additional designs in the future.

TSA to Allow Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Cases

There’s good news for travelers. The Transportation Security Administration will soon allow those with laptops to leave them inside their “checkpoint friendly” cases. In order to qualify, the cover must have a designated laptop-only section that would lie flat when it rolls through the X-ray machine. It cannot have metal zippers, snaps, buckles, or inner pockets. The new rule will take effect Aug. 16. Already approved are bags from Mobile Edge, Tagus, and the Skooba Design Checkthrough that will become available in the next few weeks.

Each one is hand-assembled in acrylic with a vinyl wrapper. You also have the option of uploading your own design with their custom template. Expect designer prices of $250.00 for only a case, or $400.00 to $620.00 for those with drives. We bet they could expand to make flash drives and clean up.
