Daily Show Full Episodes Political Humor Rally to Restore Sanity

The Daily Show's news team was clearly passionately moved by the outpouring of support for the gay community, which has been presented in the form of It Gets Better videos.

The US military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy is a hot topic among legislators right now, and teen suicides of homosexual youths are a rising concern. Many celebrities and politicians have stepped forward to make messages of support for gays of all ages. Comedy Central's contribution? This "It Gets Worse" video aimed at Senator John McCain -- yes, the one who was almost our president.

The "It Gets Worse" video is classic Daily Show, and very tongue-in-cheek. Check it out above!

Conan O’Brien, Night Two: Heavy Losses Reported

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Late Night, Talk Shows, Cable, Ratings, Video,

Viewers were excited to tune into Conan O’Brien’s Monday premiere … but they weren’t as pumped on Tuesday. Conan’s cable show lost one-third of its viewers in the transition from Day 1 to Day 2.

Maybe Jon Stewart is to blame? O’Brien’s new late night talk show is competing directly with the cable king, and we don’t like his odds. Monday’s Conan scored 4.2 million viewers, compared to 2.8 million the following night. (His rival Jay Leno averages around 3.6 million for his famous network gig.)

Critics were largely unenthusiastic with the Monday premiere. One writer at the Los Angeles Times complained about O’Brien’s endless NBC jokes, a gag that’s running a little thin nine months after the Tonight Show fallout.

Hot Cleveland Tidbits: Bonnie Franklin to Reunite with TV Daughter

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Cable, Gossip, Video,

Bonnie Franklin is doing a guest stint on Hot in Cleveland, which will reunite the actress with her One Day at a Time daughter Valerie Bertinelli.

In that old CBS series, Franklin played divorcee Ann Romano, who raised her two daughters (Bertinelli and MacKenzie Phillips) in an apartment in Indianapolis. One Day at a Time ran from 1975 to 1984.

Franklin and Bertinelli aren’t the only former costars who will reunite during Cleveland’s second season. The show also has a guest spot planned for TV legend Mary Tyler Moore, who worked with Betty White on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Season 2 of TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland -- which also stars Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves -- will debut in January.

The Daily Show is Number One

Maybe Conan O’Brien shouldn’t get too cozy in his new office at TBS.

The former NBC funnyman will debut his Conan, a new late night series, at 11 pm on Monday … and that means he’s facing the toughest of all late night competition.

According to TVByTheNumbers, The Daily Show is the top-rated late night show among adults age 18 - 49. The numbers are in, and Jon Stewart is officially the king of late night … but during one of the weeks reviewed, The Daily Show, The Tonight Show and Late Show with David Letterman were all showing re-runs.

We have a sneaking suspicion that all Daily Show ratings spikes come just when FOX News hires new staffers.

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Animation, Comedy, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip, Video,

Since the introduction of Mysterion to South Park in Season 13, the fan community has speculated on the “real” identity of the character.

Mysterion appeared in “The Coon,” a Dark Knight parody starring Eric Cartman as the superhero title character. Cartman’s dreams of glory were foiled when another superhero turned up suddenly ... with a cooler costume and a much more secret identity.

And the superhero’s haunting tagline, “Who is Mysterion?” has sparked debate among fans ever since. Wednesday night revealed the second chapter in the ongoing South Park superhero society (aptly named Coon and Friends) … yet, we still don’t have an answer to the burning question.
