This week's "In Your Face" features the Los Angeles Lakers and their somewhat startling and totally unexpected sweep to the Dallas Mavericks. Chris gives them the business! DV, a noted LeBron James hater for the way he did Cleveland dirty, calls out all the other LeBron haters for them not understanding his relief and happiness of finally getting by the Boston Celtics. Sure there was some massive histrionic-type behavior, but DV found it in his heart to forgive. Of course, the Chicago Bulls didn't in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, which the Bulls won. In any case, give this week's "In Your Face" a LISTEN!

EndScore Report: What Happens Now for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers?

In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at what the two storied NBA franchises, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, could possibly do now that both are out of the NBA Playoffs. The Celtics lost to LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and the rest of the Miami Heat, while the Lakers got swept by the Dallas Mavericks. In the case of the Lakers, would they trade two high-impact players to the Orlando Magic for Dwight Howard and an albatross contract such as Gilbert Arenas or Hedo Turkoglu's? A lot of it could depend on the head coach selection. Is there still another run for the Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen? We break down our thoughts HERE!

EndScore Report: NBA Playoffs, What Else?

In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris take a gander at the NBA Playoffs' conference semi-finals. In the east, the Boston Celtics are down to the Miami Heat 2-0 and the prospects of coming back don't look so good. The Chicago Bulls have taken a 2-1 lead (at time of recording, it was 1-1) on the Atlanta Hawks. Meanwhile, over in the West, the Dallas Mavericks have taken an almost insurmountable lead, 3-0 (2-0 at time of recording), over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies are all notched up at one game apiece. LISTEN to hear how we see the rest of the series going.

EndScore Report: NBA Playoffs First Round Review

In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at what's been going on in the NBA Playoffs thus far. After the recording, the Memphis Grizzlies surprisingly eliminated the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs to complete the series during the first round. By the way, DV and Chris were wrong in their selection of the Spurs to win, but, so were many others. In any case, the Grizz will face the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Other teams moving on from the first round to the Conference Semi-finals include the Dallas Mavericks who will match up against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks go head-to-head, and probably the most intriguing pairing, the Boston Celtics against the Miami Heat. At the time of this taping, only three match-ups are tied - Orlando Magic/Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers/New Orleans Hornets, and San Antonio Spurs/Memphis Grizzlies - and the others being a 2-0 count - Chicago Bulls over Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat over Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics over New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks over Portland Trail Blazers, and Oklahoma City Thunder over Denver Nuggets. NBA Playoffs: Eastern Conference Preview

The 2011 NBA Playoffs kicks off on Saturday, April 16th with the Eastern Conference's top-seeded Chicago Bulls matching up against the eighth-seeded Indiana Pacers at 1PM ET on ESPN. It's appropriate that the Bulls start the NBA postseason since they are also the NBA's top-seeded team, earning homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs with a regular season record of 62-20. So, how do the Eastern Conference series shake out for all of the playoff participants? Peep the preview below.
1. Chicago Bulls (62-20) vs. 8. Indiana Pacers (37-45)
The Pacers (24-17 at home; 13-28 on the road) are almost a vagabond group that made the playoffs due to the overall weakness of the Eastern Conference as they are the only under-.500 team in the postseason. They made a spirited effort when assistant Frank Vogel was named interim head coach, going 20-18 and obviously made the playoffs. Danny Granger is the top talent in the group and while Darren Collison was a bit of a disappointment, other players stepped up their games, particularly Tyler Hansbrough, Josh McRoberts and Roy Hibbert. Rookie Paul George also showed flashes of big-time ability.
However, the Bulls will be too much for the Pacers who seem disjointed compared to the smooth-running machine that is the Bulls. Prediction: Bulls in four games.

In this edition of the EndScore Report, DV and Chris look at all of the match-ups in the Eastern Conference NBA playoffs with the Chicago Bulls versus the Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat versus Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics versus New York Knicks, and the Orlando Magic versus the Atlanta Hawks. Who will step up in the east? Derrick Rose and the Bulls look primed to take the conference, but the Heat and its Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh won't go down easy. Neither will the "old" Big Three of the Celtics - Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce - however, how will the trade of Kendrick Perkins affect the team. And, finally, how about the Magic and its big man, Dwight Howard. Are there implications to how the team's postseason results will affect his staying or leaving the team? EndScore Report: The New York Knicks and Above-.500 Dream

DV and Chris speak on the New York Knicks and the team's ability to finish the NBA season with an above-.500 regular season record. The Knicks are on track to make it happen with a 40-38 record currently and only four games left. Two winnable games against the New Jersey Nets and Indiana Pacers will seal the deal and it won't matter what the outcome would be versus the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics to close out the season. The dream can happen!
However, while Carmelo Anthony was a significant acquisition for the Knicks, it's hard to ignore the Denver Nuggets who have basically been on a tear since Melo was traded. The Nuggets are currently 48-30 and have a chance to win 50 games, if not more. The above-.500 dream has at least become a reality for one team. Fulfill our dreams and give our thoughts on the Knicks and Nuggets a listen!

How about those Miami Heat?

There was much ballyhoo before the NBA season began regarding the joining of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh forming a "super team" with the Miami Heat. In fact, speculation abounded on whether or not they could surpass the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls' NBA-record 72 wins. At 43-19 as of this writing, obviously, it's a dead issue like the team's seeming spirit. They have lost four of their last five, all to playoff teams - Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs - and the Pat Riley taking over for Erik Spoelstra whispers have reared their ugly head yet again.

Kendrick Perkins traded away from the Boston Celtics: Good or Bad?
The Boston Celtics traded Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic, as well as a first round pick in 2012 that belonged to the Los Angeles Clippers. Is this move by the Celtics beneficial or detrimental? Perkins was an integral part of the Celtics' recent runs in the playoffs that saw them reach the NBA Finals in two of the past three seasons, including one NBA title. In fact, many think that if he hadn't gotten hurt during last year's NBA Finals, the outcome would have been different where the Celtics defeat the Los Angeles Lakers.
