For every woman who has nagged her spouse to put down the seat cover or every man who didn’t think it was his job (because she didn’t lift it after she was done,) there is a solution. Pressalit’s AutoClose features infrared sensors that keeps the cover open when someone is in the room and quietly closes it when he/she leaves. Automatic Motion Tracking Camera

This may be better than a watchdog. The Motion Tracking Camera automatically captures movement by panning 180° and tilting 60°. The mini-cam clips to your pet’s collar as the built-in timer automatically takes pictures every 1, 5, or 15 minutes. It has a water-resistant ABS housing and comes with a lithium-ion battery, and USB cable and charger. While the gadget is creative, we are not sure we would spend the $44.99 to see images of dust bunnies and ancient crumbs that our cat would find behind the refrigerator.

AOTOMO Automatic Mahjong Table

AOTOMO We thought it was cool enough to have a machine that shuffles cards, but when we saw this AOTOMO Automatic Mahjong Table we thought it had to be a prototype. Not so. Utilizing electricity, light, and magnetism, and controlled by microcomputer programming, the table automatically shuffles and deals tiles. The company claims that the 95x95x75cm gadget is noiseless. It comes in red, black, or silver, and is made of either plastic or wood. One of us learned how to play mahjong as a kid by our grandmother, and until they make a machine that can kibitz along with shuffling, we think we will pass.
