Poll: Do you have a surround sound system?

Time for another one of our polls, this one being somewhat less polarizing than our last few. With things like next-generation game consoles, Blu-ray players, and the like, we are curious if you have a surround sound system that you use to get the most from your setup. Basically, we wanna know if you do, is it 5.1 or 7.1? Or do you keep it real with regular old stereo sound? Vestalife Limited Edition Ladybugs

Vestalife has teamed with Element Skateboards to release two Limited Edition Ladybugs. Similar to their original product, each dock has flip-down speaker wings, a digital amp and built-in 3-inch sub woofer. They also have LED volume indicators, full function remote, auto shut-off, and are compatible with any iPod with dock connection or iPhone. The USB connection makes for plug-and-play with your computer and an auxiliary-in jack can connect to other MP3 players. Each comes with a price of $124.95 with a portion of sales going to the MagicWater Project that supports children with pediatric cancer.

Is It Britney?

A Web site created on September 15, 2008 through Go Daddy calling itself Britney Spears Circus Leak has posted an audio Internet video that’s suddenly becoming the most talked-about file on the Web. Considering the subject matter, this is hardly surprising - but if you’re looking for the formula for online success, pay attention.

A single picture of Brit, a countdown showing the time remaining on the release of her album and a single audio embed is all it takes to make a site successful. If, of course, the site is offering up audio of what is purportedly a leaked track off of a truly unreleased album. The track, “Candy From Strangers” certainly sounds like it could be the work of Britney Spears.

LG HT33S Home Theater System

LG has revealed its home theater system, the 2.1 channel HT33S. The glossy black exterior houses iPod docking, an optical port for sound, and the ability to convert standard def DVDs to HD1080p through HDMI upscaling. DivX, DVD, CD, MP3, WMA and JPEG are all compatible via USB. Finally, CD files can be converted to MP3 and saved as well. Presented at the IFA 2008 and tuned by audio expert Mark Levinson, look for an October release of the system.

We dig that PMPs are finally becoming smaller and more affordable. iRiver has finally released their Spinn with its 3.3-inch AMOLED screen. It supports MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, and ASF audio, MPEG4, WM9, and WMA video, DMB, radio, and flash. Creative has launched their new ZEN Mozaic. Features include a 1.8-inch TFT LCD display, a built-in speaker, FM tuner with 32 preset stations, and microphone. The 79.5 x 40 x 12.8 player weighs 43g supports MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM 10 and Audible (Format 4) and JPEG. Each one is has their Creative Centrale application for media management.
